Led by the pitching of Nolan LaPerche ( 5 innings with 8 strikeouts) and Quinn O’Connel, pitched two innings of scoreless ball.

Ben Picone, Gian LePore, Mason Broomfield each had two hits for Flood and Damon Buchanan had a big double pacing the eleven hit attack.

The Coventry Connie Mack team won their first game of the year with a 12-3 victory on Wednesday night (7-6-22).

The Cranston Bulldogs picked up their sixth victory of the year against second place West Warwick, 15-1.

The Bulldogs continued their hot hitting over the summer by scoring five runs in the first, third and fourth innings.

Leading the way fof the Dawgs were Kayden Santurri (3/4, one triple and four rbi’s) and AJ Greene (3/4).

Mike Smith recorded his fourth win of the year.

For West Warwick, their lone run happened in the top of the first inning when Calvin Battersby reached first base, stole second base and scored on a single by Josh Pedus.

West Warwick is now 4-4, good for 10 points. Cranston is 6-0 (12 points).

In a game played at Smithfield (7-5-22), Vogie downed Smithfield, 12-6.

Rocco Ferolito was on the mound for Vogie and pitched four solid innings allowing just one hit while walking four batters. In fact, Ferolito and the Vogie defense only allowed one Smithfield runner to get past second base.

Vogie took a three-run lead in the top of the second when they batted around and sent all nine batters to the plate.

In the top of the fifth inning Vogie once again batted around their order, garnering six hits and two walks to build an 11-0 lead.

Smithfield, however, opportunistically closed the gap when they scored six runs of their own on two hits and five walks to close the gap to 11-6 in the bottom of the fifth inning.

Jacob Ferreria would come in to pitch the 6th and 7th for Vogie and faced the minimum of 6 batters and ended the game by picking off the only runner he allowed to get to first base.

Vogie added their 12th run in the top of the seventh when Rocco tripled home Matt Gale who had lead the inning off with a single.

For the night, the Mt. Hope nine collected 15 hits on the night with 2 triples, 2 doubles and 11 singles. Matt Gale lead the way with three singles while Parker Camelo two extra base hits on the night. Camelo collected a double and a triple in consecutive at bats in the fourth and fifth inning. Ethan Santerre, Caleb DeCastro, Jacob and Brian Abbruzzi all had multiple hit games as well.

Danny Desilets and Magoo Camelo played great defense on the night and helped drive in runs for Vogie while collecting a couple of hits and walks to help plate some of Vogie’s runs.

Scituate used an eight run third inning and the strong pitching of C Camperella to power past EG 10-5.

Camperella also had 2 hits with one rbi and run scored. M Moreau went 3-3 for Scituate.

Ryan Marcantonio had 2 hits (one triple) for the Avengers baseball club.
