Does my daughter's batting helmet need to have a cage / face mask?

Yes.  For safety reasons, it is required that all batting helmets have cages (i.e., face masks).  If you elect to supply your daughter with her own helmet, then it must have a cage.

What days will my daughter play?

Most Divisions will play two games a week - one game during the week and one game on Saturday.  The Senior Division and Junior Division will only play weekday games (no Saturday games).  The weekdays on which games are held vary by division and will also depend on the number of players in each division as well as on field availability.  Games will most likely be scheduled as follows:

T-Ball / Coach Pitch Division (Kindergarten and 1st grade) - Wednesdays & Saturdays
Rookie Division (2nd and 3rd grades) - Thursdays & Saturdays
Junior Division (4th and 5th grades) - Mondays & Fridays
Senior Division (6th, 7th and 8th grades) - Mondays & Fridays

Please note that the above days are not set and may need to be changed for any number of reasons.  The game schedule will be finalized following registration and the formation of teams.

Can my daughter request to be placed on a team with a friend?

In the younger divisions (i.e., T-Ball, Coach Pitch, Rookie), players may request to be paired with one friend.  While requests cannot be guaranteed, all efforts are made to pair friends as much as possible.

In the older divisions (i.e., Junior, Senior), no requests for friends are allowed in the interest of maintaining fair and balanced teams.

The size and type of ball varies by division (grade of the players):

T-Ball / Coach Pitch Division – 11” safety ball
Rookie Division – 11” safety ball
Junior Division – 11” ball
Senior Division – 12” ball

Note, "safety" balls are softer than normal softballs and are used in the younger divisions in order to reduce the risk of injury.
