Mandatory Play Rule

MANDATORY PLAY RULES

    1. Each team shall strictly follow the current National MPR.
    2. Game officials will notify both Head coaches at the end of the third quarter of play, that any player who has not met the MPR should now be placed in the game.
    3. Any player who has not met the MPR by the end of the 3rd quarter, according to the MPR sheet, MUST start the 4th quarter, regardless of whether that team is on Offense or Defense. These players shall remain in the game until they have met the MPR. The MPR sheet shall be considered the FINAL WORD and may not be over-ruled by ANY coach or Commissioner.

The current National Pop Warner rule book states the following with regards to the MPR.

    16-25 players    -    10 plays
    26-30 players    -    8 plays
    31-35 players    -    6 plays

The MPR is determined by the number of players eligible at the time of the game, and not based on the size of the roster.

Cheerleading Corner

Posted by Anne Wintsch-Reis at Oct 22, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Competition is nearing ... * Football Players: Supporting the cheerleaders at the Competition on November 2nd would be a wonderful gesture. The cheerleaders have been on the sidelines for all your football games (often standing in the rain just like you guys are playing in the rain). And believe me, this competition is an experience - one needed to be experienced by everyone at least once!! * Cheerleaders - more money matters - (a) Approximately $20.00 to pay for the limo, Ryan's Breakfast; (b) remember you'll need money for eating in the Arena the day of the competition - think a couple trips to the concession stand and keep in mind the food is pricey at the Arena * Week of 10-27-03 Practice Locations & Gym Time: Tuesday 10-28-03 at Azalea Park Little League Fields - Senior Field; Wednesday 10-29-03 Jr. Peewees & Peewees at Azalea Park Little League - Softball Field & Jr. Midgets & Midgets scheduled for Metro Gym on Wednesday 10-29-03 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm (please verify time with your Coach); Thursday 10-30-03 Jr. Midgets & Midgets at Azalea Park Little League - Senior Field; Peewees & Jr. Peewees scheduled for Metro Gym on Thursday 10-30-03 from 7:00pm - 8:00pm (please verify time with your Coach). * Yes, it gets hairy at this time of year for the cheerleaders! Everyone just realize the entire team really needs to be at these last 2 weeks practices and everyone needs to work together to help each other out and everyone needs to relax. Go PANTHERS!! image

Colonial Homecoming Parade

Posted by Anne Wintsch-Reis at Oct 22, 2003 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
Colonial Homecoming Parade: Thursday October 23rd. We need to be back by the football field parking lot or in that general vicinity by 5:30pm in order to march in the parade, which starts at 6:00pm. Now, the parade is not a long ordeal and actually just a fun time and an easy way to show support for Colonial HS. Cheerleaders - wear your cheer uniform while the football players can wear their white jersey since we'll be in red that Saturday. Even better, if you want to bring your own bag of candy or bag of beads to toss out to the crowd, that'd be great. image
