2004 Spring Flag Football Registration

Posted by Anne Wintsch-Reis at Feb 5, 2004 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
Flag Football Registration ... May bring your registration forms to the Carwash on March 6th, 2004 or contact your coach or Anne (see email above and numbers above) Flag Registration is $40 and includes a T-shirt, insurance fees, Pop Warner fees, etc. Flag Football is not a money making proposition. Practices and games should be at Jackson Middle School. The first practice will start the week of April 5th. The practices should be 2 times a week, from 6:00pm - 7:30pm (or until too dark), tentatively, with games on Saturday. We look to make this a relaxed, keep in shape, kinda activity. We realize most all of kids are playing little league, basketball, soccer, whatever and this may constitute a second sport for them. So we plan on being the lenient sport. See everyone there and let's give this Flag Football thing a try this season! image
Hey, let's have the remaining equipment turned in on Sunday January 11th, at my place, between 2pm and 4pm. For football players we need Game pants, the White Game Jersey, shoulder pads, helmet, pants pad and equipment bag. For the cheerleaders who rented, we need the top and skirt. In addition, anyone needing their 2003 trophy, should be able to pick it up at this same time. We need our equipment in order to inventory it; get it reconditioned; and get it organized in the storage unit among other things. And in my experience, the longer it is out, the harder it is to get it back. image

2004 Year Round Cheerleading

Posted by Anne Wintsch-Reis at Jan 1, 2004 4:00PM PST ( 0 Comments )
The practices will be on Wednesdays at 6:30pm - 8:00pm-ish and on Sundays 12noon - 2pm-ish. Wednesday' practices will be at the Dover Shores Community Center, on the pavilion, which is located at Curry Ford Road and Gaston Foster Road, 407-381-2708. Sundays practices will be at Englewood Park - off of Lake Underhill near the light at Oxalis Road. There will be 2 competitions this season - Daytona Beach (NCA Classic) and the Jacksonville Beach Blast. It will require a little travel, but not like we're going out of state. The registration will cover the extra insurance and for the fees to get into the 2 competitions. We'll use the same uniform and the same shoes. Year Round is a fun time. It allows for some different approaches to competition, different hairstyles, etc. It also helps in continuing with tumbling skills, etc. While Year Round is not so intense, it is to be taken seriously. You all know, all the members of a cheer squad have to be consistent coming to practice in order for the entire squad to excel. image
