Azalea Park Panthers: Pop Warner Football & Cheerleading

December 7 - 13, 2003 Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex will host the Pop Warner Super Bowl and National Cheer and Dance Championships from December 7-13, 2003. 65 games will take place during this week-long event, including the Division I Midget National Championship game which is featured on ESPN and ESPN2 throughout the NFL Super Bowl week. This past year, 64 football teams and over 150 cheer and dance squads from eight different regions came to Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex to see who would be crowned Pop Warner National Champions. Now in its 74th year, Pop Warner Little Scholars is the oldest and largest youth football, cheer and dance organization in the United States. More than 360,000 boys and girls, 35,000 coaches, and 750,000 plus parents and friends are a part of Pop Warner. Pop Warner is the only national youth sports organization emphasizing academic excellence. Athletes must demonstrate satisfactory classroom progress each year before they are allowed to compete.
