Special Rate
For those wishing to reserve a room for Friday 9/5 or Saturday 9/6 for this weekend's Merritt Island Away Game, APP families will receive a special rate at the Holiday Inn Cocoa Beach Oceanfront.
Though APP has a special group rate, there is another special available via the 1-800-465-4329 toll free number, allowing you to reserve a King Kids Suite for $49. So if you're looking for a Kids Suite, give that number a call instead of the local number below.
The special APP rate is $49 for a Standard room or $69 for a Kids Suite (the Kids suite is the same size as the Standard room; however, it has 3 (or 2) bunk beds in a special area for kids).
Mention "Azalea Park Pop Warner" for this rate when you make reservations at 321-783-2271 or 1-800-206-2747. Available to make reservations on Wednesday 9-3-03.

Panther Spirit Items
We are testing the interest in purchasing the White sleeveless shirts and the Red polo shirts, both with the stitched Panther logo ... The price of the sleeveless shirt would be around $25-30, while the Red polo would be around $30-35. If you are interested, write down your preference and size on a piece of paper and give it to an APP Board member, so we can decide how many to purchase.
Our Panthers made a great showing Saturday under the blistering Florida sun for opening day in Cocoa. The Tigers prooved to be stealthy opponents, but Azalea Park managed three strong wins for the day, with only the Jr. PeeWee and Midget teams going a away with the "L" (for learning experience).
Great Job Panthers!

Kudos...
Hey, everyone, I wanted to let you know the good comments I have received about our players during the Jamboree at Kissimmee. The Kissimmee President, who was checking in all the teams that day, let me know that our boys were the nicest and best-behaved players there that day. That was really nice to hear and speaks in volumes about the families associated with Azalea Park Panthers. It's always nice to hear that your children know how to act when you're not around!
I know the Jamboree was a mixed bag of emotions for our league. It was great to see speed and scoring in the Mitey Mite backfield, but
disappointing that the Midget team didn't get to play. However, all our A.P.P. teams that played, looked respectable and I would say, an exciting season is in store for our opponents and us.
