Plum Wrestling

The ACWC will take place at Fox Chapel again on the weekend of January 13th & 14th. It boasts teams from all over allegheny county. Plum has had a champion just about every year including the 5 past seasons.

The Buckeye Local Domino’s/Pepsi Classic in Rayland, Ohio will be held on Saturday February 4. It is a pool tournament as well so each wrestler will get 4-5 matches.

The NFHS and PIAA has agreed upon weight class changes for this upcoming season. It raises 103 lbs to 106 lbs, removes a middle weight class, and adds a heavier weight class.

New Weight Classes:
106 – 113 – 120 – 126 – 132 – 138 – 145
152 – 160 – 170 – 182 – 195 – 220 – 285

Old Weight Classes:
103 – 112- 119 – 125 – 130 – 135 – 140
145 – 152 – 160 – 171 – 189 – 215 – 285

*There were no changes to the junior high weight classes.

The St. Mary’s coach has finalized his kickoff tournament on Saturday December 10th. It is a pool style tournament which means each wrestle could get up to 5 matches.
