extensive competitive swimming background. Beth is a veteran of the Stamford Sharks Swim Team,
where she competed in USA Swimming for many years. She went on to compete at the college level
where she was a standout distance freestyle swimmer and a two-time conference champion. She also
has enjoyed participating in local open-water swimming events. The combination of Beth’s passion for
the sport, her broad instructional experience, and successful swimming career brings important
motivation and inspiration to all swimmers she works with.

ICSC has been assigned to the Regional meet hosted by ZEUS at Norwalk HS
Directions:
The Norwalk High School pool is on County Street in Norwalk, CT.
Take I – 95 to Exit 16, East Avenue. Go West on East Avenue for 2 lights.
Make a right on Sunset Hill Avenue. Go all the way to end (Sunset Hill becomes Tierney Street).
At stop sign (Strawberry Hill Avenue) make a left. Take Strawberry to County Street.
Make right on County Street. Driveway to High School is on your right.
Go all the way to top of driveway and look for a parking spot.
Entrance to pool is first door on the right, PAT SPINOLA.

PLEASE NOTE:
Pool deck space is tight other than Friday night.
As a result:
- assigned seating.
- one team will be in the stands Saturday and Sunday
- ZEUS will be in the balcony Saturday and Sunday
- Teams are not allowed to bring deck chairs.
There may be a team or two who will be allowed to bring deck chairs, but they will be emailed later this week.
- Parents are encouraged to bring their own deck chairs to sit in the hallway where it is much cooler. They will not like the stands.
- Concession, and vendor will be down the hallway to avoid congestion near the pool area.
- Hospitality will be upstairs in the offices above the pool deck
Warm up assignments:
Warm up has changed to accommodate all swimmers by giving them space and enough time. Schedule is above.

Congrats to Madison Mahar, placing 2nd overall,10/Under girls events, with a total score of 78 points in 6 events at the 3-day NCY Bowl Invite.
Madison won 1 event, placing 2nd, 3rd or 4th in the rest.

Friday night ICSC must supply a timer for whole session.
(You can split this session with someone else on Orca's if you choose but whole session must be covered.)
REMINDER:
PARKING & Other RESTRICTIONS:
As many of you know – Parking at the Y is reserved for Y
members only so we are required to park at different lots
for the meets.
There will be NO
PARKING at the YMCA, South Ave, Putnam, or Surray Roads.
Cars parked in these areas will be ticketed by the New Canaan
Police Department!
Please have your parents drop off their
swimmers and then proceed to the Parking lots –
there will be people directing traffic through the Y lot.
On Friday
Evening and Sunday – Parking will be at the New Canaan
High School Lots
(which is a left at the traffic light past the Y and on the left
hand side of the road)
On Saturday
–Parking will be at the South Elementary School lot
(which is a left at the traffic light through the Y and on the
right hand side of the road)

There will be concessions on the upper deck level.
Seating is limited – so there will be overflow tables and chairs in the gym adjacent to the upper deck for extra seating between events.
Please note that Deck Chairs are not permitted on the Pool Deck.
Also – unattended swimmers must not wander through the Y during the meet.
All swimmers under the age of 12 are required to have an adult with them at the Y.

Orca's Holiday Party - Thursday Dec 6th, 2012
Thursday Dec 6th 4:30-5:30pm - Orca's Holiday Party.
No swim practice that day.
Must Sign-up on Bulletin Board (by pool) or email coach if attending, so coaches can order enough pizza, etc!
Mon, Dec 10 is Orca's Team Photo. Must wear Orca team swimsuit!
No team suit? wear plain black suit please (No colored suits!)
Pre-Orca practice 4-4:30pm, Bronze & Silver practice 4-4:45pm
so they can dress for photos.
Photos at 5pm. Blue Gold & SR practice 5:05-6pm.
All swimmers must be photo'd; no purchase necessary.
Photo order forms available at practice, bring them back on photo day.
