To Varsity Players and Parents,

Thanks to Mike Scott , we have reservations at a place to eat for everyone on Friday Night 21 APRIL the night before our games on Saturday. Here are the details:

Reservations are for 7pm. Hopefully everyone can get out of Lee’s Summit and get there in time. Make sure the players wear a team shirt for dinner.

Happy Friday Lady Titan Family.

I am sending this email a few days early as we are heading into Easter weekend and I don’t know if I’ll be able to get this out before our Monday game. Here’s what is coming up for what looks to be a busy week of 17 APRIL.

• Monday 17 APRIL – Big Game vs Shawnee Mission @ LSW Sod Stadium. JV game at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7:00pm. Everyone needs to be there no later than 4:45pm. This game will have 1st vs 2nd place play each other in JV, and 2nd place play 3rd place in Varsity, so needless to say this will be a big night for us.

• Tuesday 18 APRIL – Another important game against our crosstown rivals LS North @ the LS North Sod Stadium. Regardless of our team’s records at the time, these games are always epic…it should be fun. Please note the times are different because of the National Honor Society induction ceremony later that night that some of our players will need to attend. Varsity plays first at 5:00pm, and JV follows at 6:30pm. Everyone needs to be at the field by 4:15pm.

• Wednesday 19 APRIL – Practice (Possible date for Team Pictures)

• Thursday 20 APRIL – JV Only game vs St. James Academy @ LSW Sod Stadium at 6:30pm. Everyone needs to be at the field by 5:45pm.

• Friday 21 APRIL – Varsity team travels to St. Louis for our play date on Saturday. We are lining up dinner at a location for 7:00pm. Once confirmed, I’ll send out the details.

• Saturday 22 APRIL – Varsity team has their games vs the STL teams. All 3 games we play will be at Westminster Christian Academy. Here’s the schedule:

8:30am Shawnee Mission (KS) v Marquette
10am Lees Summit West (MO) v Eureka
11am Shawnee Mission v WCA

Lunch break

1pm Shawnee Mission v Eureka
2pm LSW v Marquette
3:30 LSW v WCA

OK, practice is over and my stomach is full from the team feeding. Thank you to the Garrison’s for hosting tonight. In an earlier text, I stated there were more games on our schedule…so here’s the breakdown:

• Wednesday 12 APR – Big Game vs St. Teresa’s . JV game is at 5:30, so everyone needs to be there by 4:45pm. This is a “White-out” game, so wear white. Varsity game is at 7:00pm.

• Thursday 13 APR – We play vs LSHS at LSW’s Sod Stadium…JV @ 5:30pm, V @ 7:00pm.

• Friday 14 APR – We play Olathe (Varsity Only) at LSW’s Sod Stadium. Game is at 6:30pm.

Then it’s Easter weekend. Sorry for having a game on Good Friday, but with the season being so short as it is, getting games rescheduled is pretty difficult.

Hello Lady Titan Family,
Before we discuss what’s coming up this week, let’s reminisce about last week for a little bit…first, let me just say how proud I am of both of our squads and how we played last Thursday vs Sion. Our JV team handled their business with a 9-2 win…and then there was the Varsity game…for all those parents who were in attendance in the stands, thank you for your support…I can hear the cheers from across the field, and what an epic comeback it was. I find myself still thinking about it.
This past Saturday our JV squad went to Columbia to play against NW Arkansas, Jenks (OK) and Columbia. Our game vs NW Ark was a tough one considering they were a varsity quality team. We played them to a 2-6 final…I felt we played very hard and we shot enough times, but their goalie made 10 saves that game. We then played Jenks to a 6-6 tie, and lost a heartbreaker in Overtime. After a break, we played Columbia Lax Club to a 12-1 win, with one of our brand new players scoring her first ever goal. Overall, it was an excellent day.
Now we move into the week of 10 APRIL, and it has the potential to be an extremely busy week. Here’s what’s coming up:
• Monday 10 APR – Varsity-only game vs Pembroke at LSW at 6:30pm. I would like all players there no later than 5:45pm for warmups. JV players do NOT have to dress out, but need to be there to cheer on their Varsity teammates. JV players deserve a night off after how hard they played on Saturday.
• Tuesday 11 APR – Practice at 5pm. Team feeding immediately after practice at Caroline Garrison’s house. I’ll send out the address via text on Tues.
• Wednesday 12 APR – BIG GAME vs St. TERESA’S….I cannot stress enough how big this game is going to be. This game has the potential to determine who’ll finish the regular season in 1st place. I would like this game to be a “White-Out” game, so please try to wear anything Titan related in white. JV game at 5:30pm, Varsity game at 7:00pm. These should be great games, so if you ever wanted to invite anyone to come out and watch a game, this is the one.
• Thursday 13 APR – As of today, we are scheduled for practice, but this may change to a home game vs LSHS. Coach Jordan from LSHS asked if we could reschedule our 20 APR game. I currently do not have confirmation that the game is rescheduled. I will let you know once confirmed.
• Friday 14 APR – As of today, this will be a night off, but this may change as we have proposed to use this night to play our make-up game vs Olathe that was rained out this past week. This will be a varsity-only game at LSW stadium if it happens. I will let you know once confirmed.

That’s it for now…I know Thursday and Friday are still up in the air. I promise I’ll communicate any changes as soon as they happen. I appreciate your flexibility on these changes. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions.

I was told that half my email for this week was struck through and difficult to read, so I wanted to resend it with additional information. Apparently the icon I used for my bullet points are the same as using the “strikethough” option for the text. So, here is a cleaner version:

Wednesday 5 APRIL – Practice at 5:30pm in the Aux Gym. We have a team feeding at the Munsell house at 2521 SW Winterview Ridge, LSMO immediately after practice.

Thursday 6 APRIL – BIG Game vs SION at Sion. JV game is at 4:30pm. We need to leave the LSW parking lot by 3:15pm so we can get to SION in time to warm up and stretch. The field location is at 106th St and Wornall. (10631 Wornall Rd, KCMO)…there may be a $5 gate charge for parents, so bring cash just in case. Any parent able to drive please meet me at the LSW parking lot by 3:00pm…any player needing a ride should meet at the same place so we can coordinate rides.

Friday 7 APRIL – no practice

Saturday 8 APRIL – JV Out of Town Play Date in Columbia, MO (Cosmo Park). Game #1 vs Arkansas is at 10am. I plan on being at LSW’s parking lot around 6:45am, and leaving no later than 7am to get there by 9am. Game #2 at noon vs Jenks (OK), and Game #3 at 3:30pm vs Columbia. I have attached the map to Cosmo Park for your reference. Then we are planning on going to Shakespear’s Pizza afterward. If any player needs a ride, please let me know.

Sunday 9 APRIL – Team feeding at the Hertzler house at 6pm in preparation for Monday’s Varsity game vs Pembroke. All players are welcome to come and eat even though the game on Monday is varsity-only. I hear a taco bar is on the menu…

That’s it…it looks like a really busy week, but the season is upon us, so I expect every week to look this busy until the end of the season, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
