Lady Titan Family,

When alerting Park about our field conditions and having to postpone our game, they asked if we would be willing to play the game at their location tomorrow. I informed them that we were open to the idea as I want to get the game in, but they still have to confirm if they can have their field prepared by then, plus we need to confirm if the referees can change locations as well.

That being said, there are quite a few moving parts that need to come together to make this work, so nothing is set in stone, but I also wanted to let you know that us playing at Happy Rock Park (7600 NE Antioch Rd, KCMO 64119) is a possibility for tomorrow. I understand that doesn’t give folks very much time to prepare, and I apologize. Just know that this decision is purely based on the fact that there are not very many alternate dates should be have to reschedule, and I am just trying to make sure we get our games played.

I will send out a text if we can make the venue change. If we do make the trip, we will want to leave LSW parking lot at 3:45pm on Friday for a 5:15pm JV Game (6:45pm Varsity). Assume there are no bleachers, so please bring lawn chairs.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

Tomorrow is a bug day for us as we take on the defending Varsity champions to open the season. Based on the fact that their beautiful turf field does not have lights, they have set up our games to start early so we can play both while the sun is still out. We will be playing in our BLUE colors tomorrow.

Here’s what’s going on:
Wednesday 28 MARCH: Game #1 vs St. Teresa’s Academy at STA (57th & Main, KCMO). Varsity has the first game at 4:30pm, JV at 6:00pm. We will gather at LSW’s parking lot by the tennis courts right after school, and because of all the construction on I-470, I would like to leave LSW at 3:00pm to give us enough time to get there and get warmed up. I would recommend taking 150 HWY to I-49/71 HWY north, exit on 55th St and turn left towards Main St. STA has informed me that they have construction going on at their campus, and has asked that we all park at the main parking lot on the south end of campus and make the long walk to the field. The parking lot is on 57th street, just west of Main St. (See attached map) Also, there is a gate fee of $5 per adult, $3 per child. Make sure you have cash on hand. Any parents willing to drive players to the game, please meet me at the LSW parking lot by the tennis courts around 2:50pm. Look for a silver RAM 1500 pickup truck.

Thank you in advance for all the parents that are planning on helping out with transportation. Getting players to away games is one of the more difficult things we need to do during the season, so the more help we get, the better it works out.

Tuesday 27 MARCH: Practice + Team Feeding. Thank you to Ashley Shelton and her family for hosting the team feeding.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Spring Break. We are 8 days away from our first game and I am getting really excited to get this started. I just wanted to keep everyone engaged in what’s going on during this week and next as it will all be a blur once we get started. So, here’s what’s going on:

Week of 19 MARCH: Spring Break week. No team activities…I will say that if any players go out on our practice field to play some lacrosse, that they put the goals back on the concrete when they are done.
