News and Announcements

Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX Family.

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I just wanted to get everyone caught up on what’s going on with the team. First, we have completed 3 weeks of indoor lax at Lakeland Church. I just wanted to express how pleased our coaching staff is with the fast development of our new players, and we are very excited for the upcoming season.
Here’s what we have going on for the week:

Monday 22 JAN – No Team Activities
Tuesday 23 JAN – Indoor session at 8pm at Lakeland.
Wed – Sun (24 – 28 JAN) – No Team Activities

With only meeting one night a week, there is a great deal of time where every player could spend working on stick skills (i.e cradling, passing, catching, etc…). With outdoor temps on the rise, call a teammate, find some space, and practice.

Now for some housekeeping items:
- Make sure every player and/or parent has “joined” our team on the Teampages website. If you are receiving this email, then this step has already been completed…so check on your teammates because not everyone has done this.
- Make sure every player is registered online on the Teampages site.
- Every player MUST have a current physical on file with the school sports office dated on or after 1 FEB 2017. I have heard that the office will stop accepting paper copies of sports physicals on 1 FEB, and all physicals will have to be scanned and uploaded on the MSHSAA PRIViT site. (https://lswtitans-mo.e-ppe.com/index.jspa). Please take care of this ASAP if you need to get a physical.
- Make any payments still owed to the club to Mr. Rasdall.
- Money for the Fundraiser is DUE BY 5pm on 26 FEB. If a player still owes money by 5pm on 26 FEB, she will not be allowed to participate in outdoor practices until payment has been turned in.

That’s it for now…not a great deal of lacrosse going on, but there are quite a bit of housekeeping items that need your attention, so please use this time to take care of business. Feel free to email me or text me at 816-977-5707 should you need any help.

Have a great week!

Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX Family,

Here’s the update for this week:

- Monday 8 JAN: I received news that our own Faith Lilly qualified for State in the 100m Backstroke swimming a personal best to qualify. Great job, Faith!

- Tuesday 9 JAN: Indoor practice at Lakeland. We will also be taking pictures for the 2018 program. We will have uniform jerseys for new players who do not have uniforms to use. We will also be practicing, so bring your equipment.

Wednesday – Sunday : Nothing scheduled.

Housekeeping Notes:
Here are things that need to be taken care of by everyone:
- All players (and preferably one parent per player) need to be on the LSW GIRLS LAX Teampages site.
- All players will need to complete the Online Registration on Teampages.
- All players need to make sure all payments owed have been submitted to Maj Rasdall.
- All players need to have the registration forms signed and turned in to Maj Rasdall.

Let’s please make sure we take care of these housekeeping items as soon as possible so the coaching staff can concentrate getting the players trained up for the upcoming season. If you know any of the players who have not signed up for Teampages yet, please pass along this information.

See you tomorrow night!

~Coach Jay

Lady Titan LAX Family,

HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am so excited for the 2018 season, and what this year is going to bring for our lacrosse club. We had our first indoor session last night, and we had a packed house. I believe we introduced the sport to around a dozen new players, which I think is very exciting. Here’s what we have coming up:

- SUN 7 JAN – KC Winter Classic Lacrosse Camp: 8am – Noon @ Soccer Nation (520 S 55th St, Kansas City, KS 66106). Cost is $20, and you’ll have to register on www.kcgirlslax.com I do NOT recommend just walking in…because of space limitations, they want everyone registered via the website.

Housekeeping Notes:
If you have any money to turn in, please give that money to Mr. Rasdall @ LSW. The coaching staff will not accept any money. Here’s a list of things you may still owe money for:
1. Indoor Sessions – $80
2. Registration – $200
3. Fundraising – $150

Please feel free to reach out to me should you have any questions.

More Details about KC Winter Classic Camp

Posted by Jay Hertzler at Dec 18, 2017 6:28AM PST ( 0 Comments )

Here are more details about the indoor camp offered in January by the KC Metro League:

The KCMGLA is excited to announce a winter clinic for all high school players.

This pre-season indoor clinic is available to all 9-12 grade players. It is a great opportunity to get your stick out and be coached and seen by local college coaches.

The clinic will be held on Sunday, January 7th from 8am-12pm at Soccer Nation (520 S. 55th St, Kansas City, KS 66106) and will be run by local college coaches. It will also include a breakout session on the college recruiting process. The cost is only $20 and includes a pinnie.

The colleges attending include: Maryville, Rockhurst, Lindenwood-Bellville, Missouri Valley, and Upper Iowa with Benedictine, and Missouri Baptist also planning on attending. These coaches will be working on skill development but will also be recruiting as well during this event.

Many of the programs are still looking for uncommitted Juniors and Seniors! For Freshman and Sophomores it is a great way to get on their radar as you continue your academic and lacrosse career.

Don’t miss this opportunity to get out over break and learn from the best coaches in the area!!

To get registered, go to www.kcgirlslax.com and click on register now! The deadline is fast approaching and we are looking to have most girls registered by December 20th in order to have pinnies available for the day of the clinic.
