Lady Titan LAX Family,

I just learned that our games for both Tuesday and Thursday have been cancelled due to lack of referees. Due to college games being postponed due to bad weather last weekend, all of our officials have been pulled to referee college games on Tues & Thurs of this week. Your coaching staff has been working hard on a resolution and here’s what we have as of right now:

Tuesday Game vs St. James Academy- CANCELLED. We may not be able to reschedule this due to lack of available dates. We will practice instead.

Thursday Game vs Park: CURRENTLY POSTPONED. We have already received word that Park cannot host Wednesday either, so we are waiting to hear if Friday evening is an option. I’ll let everyone know what they come back with. This will also affect the Team Feeding, so let’s postpone the feeding to match up with when we get this game rescheduled. We will practice on Thursday as well.

So, as it stands, we currently have no games scheduled for this week. If that changes, I’ll let everyone know. Sorry about this, it was completely out of our control.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

First, I just want to say how proud I am of how our Varsity girls played in St. Louis this past weekend. Although we did not win any games, we were the best performing team of the three KC area teams that attended. I did get some feedback from parents of the STL teams and a couple of college coaches that we looked really good on the field, and showed a great deal of fight. I want to thank all of the players for their effort on the field, and all of the parents that came to STL to cheer them on! We truly set the standard.

Here were the scores:
Friday vs Marquette : 8-15 Loss
Saturday vs Lafayette: 7-8 Loss
Saturday vs Westminster Christian Academy: 6-11 Loss

Now we move on to Week 4 of the season. Here’s what is on the schedule for us:

Monday 16 APRIL: Practice. Based on our weather from this weekend, we may have to go indoors, but I heard we did not get a lot of rain, so our field may be OK. Plan on it being outdoors unless we are told we can’t use the field. It will be cool, so dress for the weather.

Tuesday 17 APRIL: Non-Divisional Game vs St. James Academy @ LSW Stadium. JV game at 5:30pm, Varsity at pm. Please be on the field by 4:45pm in white uniforms.

Wednesday 18 APRIL: Practice and Team Feeding @ Ashlynn Boydston’s House. I’ll text out the address on Wednesday.

Thursday 19 APRIL: Game #6 vs Park @ Happy Rock Park (7600 NE Antioch Rd, Gladstone, MO 64119). JV Game is first at 5:15pm, then Varsity at 6:45pm. I would like to be there by 4:30pm. Based on distance and traffic, I would plan on 30-45 mins to get there, so I am planning on leaving at 3:45pm.

Friday 20 APRIL: Nothing

Saturday 21 APRIL: JV Tournament in Columbia. I had sent out an email about this earlier last week with the schedule and map to the fields. Our first game is at 11am. I plan on arriving at 10am, so I will be leaving LSMO around 8am. We are also planning on going to Shakespeare’s Pizza after our last game so we can spend more time together and celebrate what I hope will be 3 wins for the day.

OK Parents,

I just received a call from my point of contact in St. Louis. The initial proposal to try to move the Friday evening game from 5:30pm to 4:30pm will not happen, so we will play at Marquette HS at 5:30pm as originally planned. One another note, because we will play at 5:30pm, we will play in their turf stadium, so we no long need to bring lawn chairs.

So, that being said, I will need all players on the Marquette field by 4:30pm to start stretching and warming up. Travel safe tomorrow!

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I just received the schedule for our JV LAX Play Date in Columbia, MO that is scheduled for 21 APRIL. This will be 3 games in one day, plus we can plan to all go to Shakespeare’s Pizza afterwards. Here are the details:

Who: JV Team Members Only
When: Saturday 21 APRIL
Where: Cosmo Park, Columbia MO (1615 Business Loop 70 W, Columbia, MO 65202) I have attached a map to help you get to the correct fields. Take I-70 East to Columbia, take Exit #124 (Stadium Blvd), Turn left, and turn right on the Outer Rd after crossing the overpass and follow it to the entrance of Cosmo Park. Once you enter the park, you’ll come to a roundabout, and take the first right at the roundabout, follow it to the end of the road. You’ll see it on the map.

Here’s a couple of things to note: Bring chairs. There are no bleachers to sit on. If you have a canopy, please bring it. We will be at the fields for about 5 hours

I plan on leaving for Columbia at around 8am to get there around 10am. I would like for everyone to get to Cosmo Park at 10am as well, so we can get stretched out, warmed up, and ready for our first game.

11:00am – LSW JV vs Millard West JV (Omaha, NE) – Field #6
1:00pm – LSW JV vs Shawnee Mission (This will be the other JV team from Shawnee Mission, not the one we played on Friday.) – Field #5
2:00pm – LSW JV vs Papillion Lady Knights (Omaha, NE) – Field #6

We are done by 3pm…It’s a lot of lacrosse in a short amount of time, but my hope is that our JV team can get some good competition against other teams that they would not normally play during the regular season. I am looking forward to it. There will also be T-Shirts for sale, and a concession stand. Our usual photographer will not be in attendance, so if anyone is an aspiring sports photographer, please bring your camera and feel free to take pics. Reach out to me if you have any questions.

I think it would be awesome if we could all go to Shakespeare’s Pizza after our last game and hang out with each other before we get on the road to go home.

OK Lady Titan Parents. Lot’s going on this week…so please make a note of the important information below:

Monday 9 APRIL – Game #4 vs Notre Dame de Sion. This is an away game on turf, so expect us to play even though we got snow on Sunday. The address for Sion is 106th St & Wornall Rd. It’s about ½ mile south of I-435 on Wornall Rd. Varsity will play first at 4:30pm, JV right after. Expect to pay a gate fee, so have cash on-hand. I would like to leave LSW’s parking lot no later than 3:15pm. Parents that are willing to drive please meet me at the LSW parking lot around 3:00pm so we can make sure all players have a ride. If you aren’t meeting me at the LSW parking lot, I will need all players at Sion and Varsity warming up on the field by 3:45pm.

Tuesday 10 APRIL – Practice plus team feeding at the Lintz house (again). A big thank you to David and Susan Lintz for offering to host twice. We really appreciate it.

Wednesday 11 APRIL – Game #5 vs Lee’s Summit North. This is an away game at LSN. JV is scheduled to play first at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7pm. No need to meet at the LSW parking lot…all players can find their way to LSN like they would have for a home game. Please be at LSN and on the field by 4:45pm for warmups.

Thursday 12 APRIL – Team Pictures. We will meet at the practice field at 5pm for team pics. Please arrive in uniform.

Friday 13 APRIL (St. Louis Tournament) – Nothing for JV. Varsity leaves for St. Louis. We have a 5:30pm game at Marquette HS. (2351 Clarkson Rd, Chesterfield, MO 63017). I would like to have all players on the field by 4:30pm to warm up and stretch. If anyone has a canopy, please bring in just in case we need some shade. I would also suggest lawn chairs for the Marquette game just in case. I will be leaving for STL around 10am so I can get checked into my hotel room and rest for a bit before our game. All players will be excused from school.

Saturday 14 APRIL – Varsity has 2 games at Westminster Christian Academy (800 Maryville Centre Dr, Chesterfield, MO 63017). Our game times are 9:30am vs Lafayette, and 3:00pm vs Westminster Christian Academy. With such a long gap of time between our games, parents/players will have the freedom to find a place to eat as long as everyone returns to WCA by 2pm.
