Lady Titan LAX Family,

The St. Louis Tournament Schedule is posted for the Varsity out-of-town tournament on 13=14 APRIL. I sent out the hotel information earlier this week as well. We will have our first game on Friday (13 APRIL) at 5:30pm at Marquette High School…then we’ll have the last game of the day on Saturday. With the long gap on Saturday between our games, we’ll let everyone go after the first game to rest, see the sights, etc, then be back by 2:00pm.

Here’s the schedule:

FRIDAY (at WCA):
4:15pm WCA v. Blue Valley
5:30pm Lafayette v. LSN

5:30 (at Marquette) Marquette v. LSW

SATURDAY (all at WCA):
8am Marquette v. LSN
9:30 Lafayette v. LSW
11am Marquette v. BV
12:30 WCA v. LSN
1:45 Lafayette v. BV
3pm WCA v. LSW

We will wear our whites on Friday, then blues on Saturday. I think that’s it…I am excited about that weekend…games will be 25-min halves with a running clock, but the clock will stop on every whistle inside the final 2 mins of each half unless a team is winning by at least 10 goals.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week:

Monday: Practice and Uniform Distribution to New Players
Tuesday – Thursday: Practice.
Friday : no practice and start of Spring Break

As we have our last full week of practices and head into Spring Break, I wanted to let everyone know that we are NOT planning on having any organized practices during the week of Spring Break. I will say that if any of the players want to get together and toss the ball around, work on fundamentals (passing/catching/shooting), they are more than welcome to get together and do that. I am hoping for great weather.

Houselkeeping:
- All players are registered on the KC Metro Girl’s Lacrosse website. I have also placed the rosters on the league website. Feel free to go to www.kcgirlslax.com at any time to see the rosters. When the season starts, that website will be the best and most current location for game schedules, game results, and statistics. I would highly recommend bookmarking that site for the season.

One last thing for this week: I was going to discuss out of town tournaments during the parent meeting, but I have had a couple of questions about it already, so I’ll let you know the dates now, and we’ll discuss it a little more in detail on Wednesday night.

Varsity – 13-14 APRIL in St. Louis. Games will be played at Westminster Christian Academy.
JV – 21 APRIL. Games will be played at Cosmo Park.

Hello Lady Titan Family,

What a week! Last week we did Varsity tryouts, announced the Varsity roster on Thursday, then we had a scrimmage against Olathe Lacrosse club yesterday with a mixed team of Varsity and JV players…I think we won 8-1, or 9-1…I lost count. We looked great, especially for being so early in the season.

Here’s what’s on tap for the week:
Monday – Thursday: Practice from 5pm to dark (we may be conditioning in the dark). The weather may play a factor on whether we practice indoors or outdoors. Assume we will be outdoors unless I send a communication out announcing we are moving indoors.
Friday : no practice

IMPORTANT*** Mandatory Parent-Only Meeting this Wednesday, 7 MARCH at 6:30pm. We will meet at Mr. Rasdall’s classroom (Room 0184). Please make every effort to attend as we will be discussing the coach’s expectations and other topics to prepare us for the upcoming season.

Houselkeeping:
- Every player needs to be registered on the KC Metro website. Please take care of this ASAP. Go to www.kcgirlslax.com click the “Register Now” button, and complete the registration to the LS West team. All players MUST be registered to be allowed to play in league games. By last count, we have 27 of 37 players registered. If you are part of the final 10, please take care of this as soon as possible.
