Hello Lady Titan Family,

Just an FYI, the JV games have been scheduled for ULAX. So, based on the schedule, we will have games on Monday’s, Tuesday’s or Thursday’s based on which team you play for (Varsity orJV)…also, because of these games being played on different days, I am going to ask for your patience and flexibility when it comes to practices. My goal is to have at least 1 practice a week, but we may have to re-think that once games get started.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone had an opportunity to enjoy the weekend. We definitely had the perfect weather for it. It looks like we have ULAX games scheduled to start next week. Here’s what I can share with you as of this morning. The JV schedule has NOT been posted on the ULAX site yet. The Varsity schedule has, and I will share it with you here in this email…so please mark your calendars. I have heard that JV games will be on Tuesday evenings. We will know for sure once they post the schedule. That being said, JV players can expect their first game a week from tomorrow.

Here is what is on tap for this week.
- Monday 8 JUNE 6pm – 8pm: Practice at Hitt Park.
- Tuesday 9 JUNE 6pm – 8pm: Practice at Hitt Park.

Here’s the Varsity schedule as posted on the ULAX website (subject to change). All games will be played at the Scheels Soccer Park at 135th & Switzer in Overland Park. I don’t know if bathrooms or water fountains will be open, so please bring plenty of water to hydrate. I have attached a complex map showing you where to park, and where Field #10 is. I cannot remember if they have bleachers on-site, so I recommend you bring lawn chairs if you want to sit down.

Now, on to refunds. For those who have not received their refund check yet from the LSW LAX Board, here’s the latest update from our Treasurer:

“There was an issue with the refunds to be issued via check, I worked with the LSW Booster club treasurer yesterday to resolve the issue. I followed up today to get a new ETA, but still have not heard back. I am hopeful they will be issued in the next few days. The school district suspended the disbursement of funds during the “stay at home order”, but agreed to disburse the refunds I requested since the funds belong to our club. However, the process has been complicated by and therefore delayed, with the school closure and people self quarantining. Refunds requested via Paypal have all been received, but checks require multiple signatures. I will provide a new date for receipt of checks as soon as I have one." So, based on this update, all checks are expected to be issued and mailed by end of this week. If you are waiting on a check, and did not get it in the mail by Friday, please let me know.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

It’s June! And weather-wise, it’s going to feel like June. So, this is the week we have all been waiting for (at least I have). School is over. and summer vacation begins…and ULAX practices begin! Here’s what is on tap for this week:

Monday 1 JUNE (6pm – 8pm) – We will be practicing at Hitt Park in Greenwood. Please make sure you drive the speed limit when you are in Greenwood. Also, it will start to get really warm outside this week, so please come to practice with plenty of water.

Tuesday 2 JUNE (6pm – 8pm) – Practice at Hitt Park.

A couple of things to note:
1: Bring plenty of fluids. As a precautionary measure, we should all assume as both coaches and players that sharing water should NOT take place due to COVID. Bring enough, and don’t share.
2: We will plan practices in small-group format to limit the number of players in close proximity to each other.
3: If you want to wear a mask, please feel free to do so. The coaching staff is fine with whatever safety measures each player/parent want to put in place for the player.
4. The coaching staff requests that each player makes every attempt to stay at least 6ft from her teammates as much as possible. I will make sure to keep an eye on it as well during practices.
5: Due to the size of our team for ULAX, we will have both a JV and Varsity team. We will be letting the players know which team they will be playing on as soon as possible. Per the league coordinator, it looks like JV games will most likely be played on Tuesday evenings, and Varsity games will be on Thursday evenings. I have yet to see schedule, but as soon as I get one, I’ll share it with all of you.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is enjoying the holiday Memorial Day weekend. Now that we are finally done with school for this year, let’s get ready for the summer, and Summer ULAX. Here are the updates for this week:

- ULAX: We are set to start practices on next Monday evening 1 JUNE. Practices will be at Hitt Park in Greenwood. Make sure to watch your speed as you drive on Allendale Lake Rd in Greenwood as Greenwood PD likes to monitor that stretch of road. We will practice from 6pm-8pm (Weather permitting). Make sure to wear your LSW Practice Pinneys. I know some of you are wondering about how we practice while continuing to follow the Social Distancing guidelines. We will continue to monitor the guidance from Gov. Parsons and tailor practices accordingly. If parents are hesitant about having their daughters participating in practice, please feel free to keep them home. We completely understand. Based on the latest numbers, we currently have the largest team in the metro participating in ULAX with around 40 girls. Today is the final day to register if you have not yet. Due to our large numbers, we will be separating the players into a Varsity and JV teams. Our coaching staff plans to use the V/JV rosters that we announced in March after tryouts as a foundation on how we will separate the teams. We will be re-announcing the rosters soon. The targeted start date for ULAX games is Thursday 18 JUNE. Once I receive a schedule, I will be sure to share it with the team.

- Refunds: If you have requested a refund from this last Spring season, please know that all refunds requests have been forwarded to the LSW Booster Club treasurer for processing. You should start seeing your refunds within the next 7-10 days. If you have NOT received your refund by 1 JUNE, please reach out to our LSW LAX Board Treasurer Dalila Perry at dalilaperry@gmail.com

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is enjoying the final days of the virtual school year…as we move into Memorial Day Weekend this week, I am really starting to itch for some warmer weather, and for ULAX to start.

So, about ULAX, I sent out information last week about the starting dates and such, so I won’t touch on that. I will show you the latest roster numbers for all of the teams participating this summer. What all of you should be most proud of is that we are the biggest team that has registered in the league, which means we continue to set the standard in the metro. Thank you to all of you who registered to play. I hope that we will have a wonderful time this summer. Here are the numbers:
