Posted by Jay Hertzler at Jul 29, 2020 11:02AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Lady Titan LAX Parents,

Well, we made it to the Final Four for both the Varsity and JV teams. Here’s the playoff schedule:

JV Team (Mesh Addicts)
Thursday 30 JULY at 6pm on Field #1
Mesh Addicts vs St. Thomas Aquinas.

Should we advance, the Championship game will be played at 7pm that evening.

Varsity Team (Goal Diggers)
Tuesday 4 AUG at 6pm on Field #2
Goal Diggers vs BV Titans

Should we advance, the Championship game will be played at 7pm that evening.

So, the season will be 100% done by next Tuesday 4 AUG. Let’s finish strong!

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

First, allow me to congratulate all of our Seniors who walked across stage at Children’s Mercy Park last night for their graduation ceremony. Our very own Kennedy Covinsky gave a phenomenal speech on stage. We are so proud of her! Congrats to the Class of 2020!

It looks like we have a little more lacrosse to play in ULAX. This week is the playoff tournament week with the JV team finishing for good this week. Should the Varsity team advance, they will play next Tuesday 4 AUG to finish out the ULAX season.

That being said, here’s the schedule for this week:

Tuesday 28 JULY:
5pm: Mesh Addicts vs.*KC Yellow (Field 1)
6pm: Goal Diggers vs. *KC Yellow (Field 4)

Should the JV team advance, here’s the rest of the playoff schedule:
THURSDAY, JULY 30TH – HERITAGE PARK (Field 2)
5pm: Semi Final 1
6pm: Semi Final 2
7pm: Championship

We are almost done, folks. If you know you will not make it to your scheduled game, please let your position coach know so we can arrange another player to fill in for you.

~Coach Jay

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It looks like we are on the tail end of our summer ULAX season.

Looking at this week’s schedule, it looks like the Varsity team is done for the summer as there are no games scheduled for them this week.

The JV team has one game on the schedule…here’s what we have coming up
THURSDAY 23 JULY
MESH ADDICTS vs SM GIRLS @ 5pm
FIELD #1

That looks to be the only game scheduled for us for the week.

That’s it for today…hope to see y’all out there this Thursday at 5pm.

~Coach Jay

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We are heading into our third week of ULAX this week, and between our 2 teams, we will have 4 games (3 for the Varsity team). Here’s the schedule for this week:

EAST DIVISION
TUESDAY, JULY 14TH – HERITAGE PARK
5pm: SM Girls vs. *Goal Diggers (Field 4)
6pm: *Goal Diggers vs. *Sion (Field 2)

THURSDAY, JULY 16TH – HERITAGE PARK
5pm: Goal Diggers vs. FCA (Field 3)

HS DIVISION
TUESDAY, JULY 14TH – HERITAGE PARK (FIELD 1)
5pm: KC Yellow vs. Mesh Addicts

Since we are running light on players due to vacations and COVID concerns, there may be some requests for JV players to help out and fill in some of the spots on the Varsity team. (This will depend on how many players we’ll have for each position for any given game). Please help out if you can since the temps will be nice and hot this week. Since both teams will be playing at the same time on Tuesday at 5pm, we will need everyone to make it to the games if possible. If you can’t make it, please let your position coach know.

That’s it for today. We’ll see everyone on the field tomorrow!

ULAX UPDATE for 7 JULY

Posted by Jay Hertzler at Jul 7, 2020 7:47AM PDT ( 0 Comments )

Lady Titan LAX Parents,

I know this ULAX league has been frustrating at best, but know that they are making every effort to make these games as enjoyable as possible under these conditions. Here is the latest update I just received today:

Hello All,

We are requesting that everyone bring a face covering including players, fans, and coaches. We are requesting that all coaches wear a face covering and that players also try to put on a face covering while on the sidelines communicating with teammates and coaches. Lastly, we are also requiring that the two players and the official who are taking the draw pull up a face covering while taking the draw and they can pull it back down once the draw is completed. This is due to the fact that those individuals will be basically breathing directly into each other’s faces during the draw process. If everyone is capable of following these procedures, we will be able to continue play as we have been for the past couple of weeks.

As far as the fans/parents go, we are requesting that they please do everything they can to social distance on the sidelines and also wear a mask if that is not possible.

So, what this means is that only the players taking the draw need to wear masks, and can pull them down once the draw is complete.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
~Coach Jay
