First Colonial Boys Lacrosse

Note-today’s school announcement has changed! Due to expected rain tomorrow-boys lacrosse will begin conditioning for spring lacrosse this Wednesday & Friday, 12/7 & 12/9 at Lynnhaven Park field on First Colonial Rd. immediately after school 2:45-4pm. Late buses leave at 4:30pm from the school.

Please bring helmets, gloves, sticks, cleats, sneakers and water for conditioning. Also, please bring a copy of your current physical and give to one of the coaches. (These will be kept in our player file.)
Equipment may be stored in Dr. Sullivan or Mrs. Hague’s classrooms during the day for bus riders.

New players The team has loaner equipment-please contact a coach or board member for further details.

First Colonial High School Boys lacrosse participates in the high school division of Hampton Roads Lacrosse league (HRLax.) Interested in playing First Colonial spring lacrosse? Register at www.hrlax.com by Dec. 18th for the lowest rates of the season- $135. As part of registration, players must register with US Lacrosse, if not already a member (renewed annually) for an additional $35.
There are sibling discounts ($10 each)
Regular registration begins Dec. 19th ($150.)

*Note-Club dues ($125 for the year) are an additional charge for operational expenses not funded by the league, all inclusive for uniform rentals, coaching, field rentals, nets/balls and team celebrations. 2016-2017 season will not include a uniform deposit as in previous years.
Coach Justin will be placing a team helmet order for anyone wanting to purchase a FC helmet (Columbia blue with gold mask) for $190/each. Players are able to wear their own helmet if preferred.

Players registered by December 26th will receive a reversible practice pinnie personalized with name and choice of returning number!

At our request, Fall HS League lacrosse early bird rates of $125 will be extended through this weekend! Starting Monday, 8/1 rates increase to $150 and after Labor Day, rates increase to $175 for the fall season.

Games will be played on Thursday nights at PAAC on newly installed turf fields and will be a mix of public and private school HS teams now to include Bishop Sullivan. It will be a great opportunity to stay involved in the lacrosse community & prepare for a terrific spring season!

We would like to determine interest in another FC fall league lax team. Tournament play starts September 8th with games at Princess Anne Athletic Complex Thursdays at 6pm or 7:30pm. Registration is open and continues through August 20th. Sign up at vabeachlacrosse.com then click-Fall League and make sure to select FC Patriots as a team.

*Note fall ball is optional and not part of HR Lax-but a great way to prepare for spring season!

Please return your lax uniform-2 jerseys plus 1 pair of shorts and any borrowed equipment to Mrs. Hague if you have not done so already. She has awards, letters and pins for those players who were unable to attend the end of season party.
