RoughRiders Upset Invaders 21-0

Posted by Larry Mills at Apr 23, 2005 5:00PM PDT ( 0 Comments )
The RoughRiders upset the league leading Invaders with a 21-0 shutout. The Invaders were 4-0 going into this final league game, with a chance to win the title, if the Lil Giants would later lose to Capitol Punishment, which they did. The RoughRiders outplayed the overconfident Invaders in every phase of the game. The RoughRiders QB controlled the game early taking advantage of the the Invaders' undisciplined rush and sprinting for huge yardage. The RoughRiders defense rose to the occasion and held the Invaders' potent offense scoreless. Hopefully, today, the Invaders learned that they have to do more than show up in order to win. The Invaders played without starters Joseph Chaney, Aaron Kinchen, Arthur Anderson, Taurus McGhee and Wayne Benson.
