The Cranston Bulldogs scored seven first inning runs and never looked back in an 8-1 victory over the Tigers of Tiverton.

Alex Paone had aa key two-run double to right-center field in the opening inning.

Pitchers Matt Talabac, Anthony Decotis and Kyle Palardy combined to hold the Tigers to one run.

Led by the strong pitching of Jack Kesner, Anthony Fusaro, Kyle McGovern and Adam Carpenter, Chariho defeated West Warwick, 11-3.

Offensively, Chariho had a huge day at the plate with 15 hits, four of which were extra base hits by Brendan McGovern (three-run home run), Jack Kesner (solo home run), Kyle McGovern (triple) and Liam Goldstein (double).

The defending Rhode Island Connie Mack champions who have been snake-bitten all year, finally broke into the win column with an 8-3 victory over the Bulldogs of Cranston.

Alex Coutcher and Noah Sullivan combined to three-hit Cranston. Pitching for the Bulldogs were Jack Latek, Mike Smith and Rodriguez.

Offensively, Flood Ford was led by Xavier Quezada (2/4, 2 runs scored & 1 rbi), Jack Hornstein (2/3, 1 run scored & 2 rbi’s) and Connor Kennedy (2/2).

Led by a strong defense and the pitching of T. Fagan and Z. Miner, Westerly edged East Providence, 4-3.

East Providence received a solid effort from Botelho and Sutton.

The Knights took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on a rbi single by Lincoln.

In the second inning, the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead on timely hits by by McAllister, Pearson and Kyan.

East Providence tied it in the third inning after a lead-off single by Lourenco (2/3 on the day).

Down 3-2, East Providence fought back again to knot it at 3-3 on a single to left field to score Sutton.

In the bottom of the seventh, however, Westerly’s McAllister singled and opportunistically work around the horn to score for the win, 4-3.

Led by the strong pitching of Aidan Burdick, who powered through five strong innings for the Narragansett/South Kingstown, the Lions defeated the Avengers, 7-1. Burdick allowed just three hits.

Defensively, the Lions were firing on all cylinders with Tyler Poirier and Ryan Camp making timely diving plays to prevent the Avengers from crossing the plate. In addition, the nifty glove work by Nolan Rodman at first base anchored the team picking everything thrown at him from the dirt.

The Lions came out hard again scoring 4 runs on five hits in the first two innings; Colin Masseur had a key double.

In the fifth inning, they scored two more runs on hits from Ben Paskalides and Nolan Rodman.

CJ and Chad Cappolla and Even Macaulay had the only hits for the Avengers in game.
