Happy Friday Lady Titan LAX Family,

As we approach the Thanksgiving Holiday, I want to personally wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, and may all you have the opportunity to spend quality time with family and friends. If any of you are traveling out of town for Thanksgiving, please travel safe.

When we come back from the Thanksgiving holiday, we have one of the most important events for the club coming up. Registration for the Boys & Girls Lacrosse Spring 2018 Season will be held Saturday, December 2nd from 9:00 -12:00pm (LSW Bateman Hall) and Wednesday, December 6th from 4:00-7:00pm (LSW Library & Media Center). Please have every player signing up bring her school Chromebook with her. This will help speed up the registration process as we will make sure everyone is signed up on Teampages, has a valid US Lacrosse number, etc…all requiring internet access (thus the need for the Chromebook). Also, all new players will have the ability to choose their jersey number from all available numbers when fitted for their uniform. If you know of any new players that are interested in playing this year, please pass along this information so they do not miss registration.

Before you come to registration, please keep this in mind:

Cost :
$200 club fee (all players)
$101 uniform cost (new players) – new players will need to be fitted for a uniform for proper sizing
$8/pair for socks (new players) – I recommend 2 pairs.
Fundraiser. $120 buyout or $150 due after selling coupon books. (all players)
$35/year US Lacrosse membership (must be paid via credit card on www.uslacrosse.org and must NOT expire before 1 JUNE 2018) (all players)
Any additional cost for spiritwear or Boathouse Jackets.

New players who do not have equipment will need to purchase equipment prior to working out with us.

NOTE*** – The winter indoor sessions will begin on Tuesday, 2 JAN 2018 at Lakeland Community Church from 8pm-10pm. Cost is $80 (Pay on first session)

Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX Family,

Like the title says, our fall activities are done…and we won’t have any lax activities until JAN 2, 2018. We finished the 7v7 Fall League strong, but just could not go all the way.

Our Varsity team won versus a strong Shawnee Mission team, then won versus another strong Notre Dame de Sion team in the semi-finals, but fell to our crosstown rivals LS North in the championship game 13-17. One thing to note is that this was the first championship game in our KC Metro League, whether fall or spring) that did not have STA, Sion or Shawnee Mission in it. Having two Lee’s Summit lax teams battle it out in a final is a good sign, indeed.
Our JV team battled and won a great game versus Blue Valley in the quarterfinal, but fell to the eventual JV champs (Olathe) in the semi-final 8-10. Olathe was the only team to beat us in the regular season, and they got us again. One thing to note is that Olathe is not a JV team, but a varsity-level team, but because they were in last place last spring season, they were put in the JV division this fall.

So that being said, the coaching staff is extremely pleased with where our teams are at skills-wise, and are excited for the upcoming spring season. The next time we will see each other will be during registration (on 2 DEC or 6 DEC). We will have 2 dates in case you cannot make the first date. Have a wonderful November and Thanksgiving holiday! OK Lady Titan Family,

We have the schedules for this Sunday’s 7v7 tournament…and it looks like we are going to have some tough games ahead, so we need to make sure we are ready for it. Here’s the schedule:

LSW1
Game 1 vs Winner of BV Blue vs Shawnee Mission. Our first game is at 2pm at the East fields. If we win, next game at 4pm, then Championship game at 5pm.

LSW2
Game 1 vs Winner of Aquinas Gold vs BV 7/8. First game is at 1:30pm at the West fields. If we win, next game at 4pm, then Championship game at 5pm.

I have attached the brackets for your reading pleasure. It looks like we have the opportunity to play teams that we have not played against so far during the league…to include a chance to play LSN…always a good game.

Happy Monday Lady Titan LAX Family,

As we approach the end of the month, we are seeing the leaves change colors, and the temps begin to drop…which means one thing….the holiday season is right around the corner! That being said, I wanted to chat about our 7v7 teams, indoor and upcoming registration for the Spring ’18 season.

Fall 7-7 league – where do we start?? Our two teams are doing an amazing job out there, and making friends everywhere. As of yesterday, both LSW1 and LSW2 are in first place in their respective divisions. Here are some stats:
LSW1: 6-1 record. 144 GF vs 37 GA. 2nd place is Park Blue with a 6-1 Record (98 GF vs 60 GA)
LSW2: 6-1 record. 108 GF vs 42 GA. 2nd place is SM with a 5-2 record (104 GA vs 80 GA)
I want to believe we will be the #1 seed in both divisions for the upcoming playoffs next Sunday. As soon as I get the playoff schedule, I’ll let everyone know. The temps are supposed to be in the low to mid 50’s for Sunday, so make sure to dress in layers.

Indoor Sessions: This Tuesday night will be the final indoor session of 2017. I would love for everyone to come out whether you paid or not, and pack the field so we can scrimmage. If you know anyone who may be interested in lacrosse, bring them out too.

Registration: LSW LAX Club registration is quickly coming up. In my last email, I gave out the wrong date. I appreciate Hope Mackenzie keeping me straight, so here are the actual dates. Saturday 2 DEC (Times TBD) and Wednesday 6 DEC (Times TBD). Mark your calendars! Here are the fees you can expect:
- $200 club fee (for all players)
- Fundraiser (Hy-vee/Price Chopper coupon books. $150 if you plan on selling the books, $120 if you plan on paying the “buyout”) (for all players)
- $101 for LSW Uniform. You will own this and not have to return it (for new players)
- $8/pair for LSW Socks. (For new players or any veterans wanting an extra pair)
- US Lacrosse Membership ($35/year at www.uslacrosse.org) Required for all players.
- Plus, bring a little extra for Spiritwear, or maybe even a Boathouse jacket. Everybody wants a Boathouse jacket ;-)
