*** There will be another Make-Up Picture Day on Saturday, May 20th, from 8:00 am until 12:00 noon at Marine Complex between the Center and West fields. Please look for a white tent. Unfortunately, there was a problem with one camera used on the make-up day for photos. If you have not received your team or individual photos, please be advised that Studio One will be at Marine Sports Complex on Sunday, 4/30/06 from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM and Saturday, 5/13/06 from 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM to retake photos. They will be located in the area between Marine Center and Marine West fields. All individuals and teams who were adversely affected will receive an upgrade in their photo packet courtesy of Studio One. The teams that we believe to be affected are: Baseball T-Ball - Twins (1 player only) Braves (1 player only) A's (1 player only) Diamondbacks (1 player only) Mets (team) Reds (team) Cal - Angels (1 player only) Cubs (1 player only) Indians (1 player only) Coast - Padres (team) International - Dodgers (1 player only) Pirates (1 player only) White Sox (1 player only) Yankees (team) Majors - Angels (team) Red Sox (team) Softball National - Groovy Girls (team) Majors - Dominos (team) Road Runners (team) Pacific - Blue Devils (1 player only) Yellow Jackets (3 players only) American - Blue Bombers (team) Comets (team) Blue Thunder (1 player only) Solid Gold (team) If you are not on this list, but have not received your pictures, please contact us. The deadline for ordering T-Shirts and Sweatshirts was April 30th. The orders should be in within the next week and will be distributed at that time.
Just click on the link above or on the cartoon below to order Sweatshirts or T-shirts for you or your family. Hurry! We will stop taking orders after April 30. Don't be confused if you see some unnecessary questions like age and waivers. Just agree, provide the info (phony for date of birth if you like) and click through. For expedience, we are using active.com's ecommerce which is geared toward registration. image
Michael Costa, a Grandview 3rd grader and player for the Coast White Sox, received a Meritorious Community Service award from Manhattan Little League President Dennis Kane last week for selling over 330 raffle tickets prior to Opening Day. Michael is playing his 5th year for Manhattan and this is the 3rd consecutive year of being our top ticket seller. When asked how he did it, Michael replied "First I sold 50, then the next thing I knew I had sold 200. I called a bunch of people and worked with my grandma and dad and met my goal topping out at over 330!" Michael's favorite sport is baseball and enjoys both watching and playing the sport. His most fun baseball experience was hitting a grand slam on his 2005 Cal team. He had a total of 3 HRs that year. When asked if he had any words for his fellow players Michael replied "I challenge all my fellow Manhattan players to sell a lot of tickets and beat me next year!" Mr. Kane noted that proceeds from raffle tickets defray costs and along with revenue from snack stands and our sponsors help to keep our fees low.image
