Midgets lose to the Clermont Knights 10-30-07

Our Panther Midgets have had a great 2007 season reaching post-season play and dominating in the Kansas City Tie Breaker games (on Monday night 10-29-07) to take FIRST Place as the CENTRAL Champs! However, their post-season is concluded after the 27-0 loss to the Clermont Knights last night (Tuesday 10-30-07) at Clermont. Playing on Monday and then again on Tuesday while traveling to another's home field is a hard road to take to get to the Championship game. The Midgets played an admirable game playing till the end - never giving up. The team has had a wonderful season and we are so proud of the boys, the Coaches and the parents!

Post-season play is continuing! We need all the Panthers to support our Jr. Pee Wees in the Mid-Florida Division 2 JPW Championship game on Sunday 11-4-07.
CONGRATULATIONS to the Jr. PEE WEEs who play for the Mid-Florida Division 2 JPW Championship on Sunday November 4th, 2007 at the Citrus Bowl. The Jr. Pee Wees defeated Lake Brantley Tuesday (10-30-07) night 15-13 to secure a spot in the championship game. It's been since 2001 since an Azalea Park team has participated in the Championship game!
Sunday Championship Game information:
Sundays playoff games will be held at the Citrus Bowl with the Jr. Pee Wee's and Pee Wee's playing.
Division 1 Jr Pee Wee SOUTH CENTRAL VS PINES HILLS 12:00PM
Division 2 Jr Pee Wee SOUTH LAKE VS AZALEA PARK 2:00pm
Division 1 Pee Wee NEW SMYRNA VS SANFORD 4:00PM

There is an admission fee to attend the games on Sunday (and Saturday) for all except the JR. PEE WEE players, cheerleaders and coaches.

Here's an easy and fun fundraiser, being presented by one of our Midget Cheer Coaches, Mara Moody. Please, go to Mara's Memory Lane and Gifts Scrapbook store on the corner of Hoffner and Conway, during the week of September 2nd - September 8th, 2007, for "APP Week". All purchases made by APP families will be tracked and at the end of the week 10% of the sales collected will be donated to our league!
The store also has a large amount of classes each month, and for the ENTIRE season Mara is donating $1 of the class sign up fees back to APP!!! There is a teen class as well.
