Records Fall at Warren-Stauffer!
Both the Boys and Girls records were broken at the Warren-Stauffer Invitational
Amanda Stephens en route to a record-setting 18:52 finish. She is the only girl in La Mirada High School history to run faster than 19:00 minutes. Jared Bird races to a 15:50—the fastest time ever by a La Mirada runner on a 3-mile course.

Until last season, only one girl ran faster than 20:00 minutes for a 3-mile course and that was in 1982! Erica Sandoval (19:29) became the 4th girl from La Mirada to break the 20:00 minute barrier. In the process, she raced to the 2nd fastest girls time and set a new freshman record.

Roadrunner Classic
The Frosh-Soph boys, led by Taylor Siemens (19:25) and Jorge Granado (19:30) raced well but fell short of 4th place. The Jr. Varsity Girls were led by Jenna Pasillas (23:50) to a 3rd place finish. In the final race of the day, the J.V. boys brought home 2nd place behind PR’s by Elijah De Rojas (19:54) and Jim Palmer (20:04). Congratulations to all the runners who received medals and the many others who set PR’s at Roadrunner.
