On behalf of the MS soccer coaching staff, we would like to thank all of our parents and runners for a fantastic season. Your support was greatly appreciated. We had so many parents attend games this year as well as provide nutritional snacks for pre-game and postgame meals. This not only means a lot to us as coaches, but it means a lot to the kids as well. This season we had a tremendous amount of growth from where we started as a team and individuals to where we finished. I could not have asked for a better group of young ladies. Thank you!

The Middle School 8th grade girls soccer team has gotten underway! First year Coach Winzer is very excited to begin the season. (Quote) The Lady Vikings have a lot of potential, led by Beatriz D., Cassandra H., Valentina U., and Ainara R who all have an immense amount of talent and leadership skills that I am looking to see translate in a strong competitive season. The girls 8th grade soccer team will have their first game Tuesday, November 8th at 4:30pm as they take it to the road against Presbyterian.

The 8th grade girls soccer team had a wonderful year. The girls developed their skills and experienced a tremendous amount of growth. The team came together, each individual improved, and they all learned to enjoy the game. I wish the 8th graders much success at the next level, and I can’t wait to get back to work next year with this group of 7th graders. Thank you for a fabulous year! Go Vikings!

The 8th grade girl’s soccer team took home a 5-2 victory Thursday against The John Cooper School. The girls played a solid game as a team. Malena L. and Doris M. controlled the middle of the field and utilized Jules B. and Aniek V. in the wing positions. The entire defense played as a unit, but Margaret G. and Elena R. had multiple goal-saving plays. At the end of regulation time, the teams were tied 1-1. Caroline M. was in the goal for the penalty kicks, which she stopped two great shots and only let one slide through. Aniek V., Margaret G., and Ainara R. scored goals during the shoot out. Overall the girls played a strong game and represented The Village School well.
