Thank you.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

I wanted to personally say Thank You for a wonderful Senior Night last night. Not only did we have a wonderful celebration, both our JV and Varsity teams had wonderful games….so pretty much a great evening all-around.

Thank you to all the volunteers who helped out. It does “take a village” to pull something off like we did last night, and we did a perfect job.

Tomorrow we will be hosting our final home game of the 2019 season. It’s crazy to think that this season is starting to draw to a close, but we have 3 more regular season games left. Our game tomorrow will be on our practice field because the boy’s lax team has a home game. Our Varsity team will play first at 4:30pm, and JV will play at 6:00pm. Let’s come out, be loud, and cheer on our girls. There will be multiple events happening tomorrow at LSW around the same time (Baseball games, Boy’s track meet, Boy’s LAX game, Theater), so parking will be a bit congested. I have attached a map of the complex, I recommend that everyone parks by the tennis courts and walks to the field through the tennis courts (marked by a yellow dotted line in the attachment) as the big gate will be closed and locked.

Please let me know if you have any questions. See you tomorrow!

Lady Titan LAX Family,
Week 5 of the 2019 season is here. Last week was a tough one with losses vs St. Teresa’s and against Blue Valley. We go into this week with 3-3 records for both the Varsity and the JV teams, with two games scheduled for this week. We will do our best to bounce back.

We have 2 games this week, both home games.
Here’s what we have coming up for this week:

Monday 22 APRILGAMEDAY!! Tonight is our Senior Night! We will play our JV game at 5:30pm vs Park Lacrosse, then we will have our Senior Night celebration, then we play our Varsity game (probably somewhere around 7:15pm). Anyone wanting to volunteer to help with gameday preparations and breakdown, please be at the stadium by 4:45pm at the latest. We need help with setting up pylons and setting up Senior Banners. I will also need a volunteer to run the game clock and scoreboard. If you are willing to help, please text me at 816-977-5707. By the way, the clock operator has the best seat in the house.

Tuesday 16 APRIL – Outdoor practice at 5pm.

Wednesday 17 APRILGAMEDAY!! This game is a rescheduled game from when we had to postpone our game vs Notre Dame de Sion. Our game will be played on our Practice Field (right behind the tennis courts). Varsity plays first at 4:30pm, then JV plays at 6:00pm. We will not have lights at this field, so that’s the reason for the early game times. You can park right across from the tennis courts, and access the fields using the sidewalk in between the tennis courts.

Thursday 18 APRIL – Outdoor practice at 5pm.

Now, some other housekeeping items. Our End of Season LAX Banquet is scheduled for 17 MAY at 6pm. Attached is the RSVP form that we will need completed and turned into Maj. Rasdall with your payment by 10 MAY. Players and coaches eat for free. We could also use 4-6 additional volunteers to help with setup, breakdown and Audio/Visual. If you are willing to help, please reach out to Honey Hayes at Honey.Hayes@lsr7.net and let her know you are able to help.

That’s it for now…please let me know if you have any questions. All of our game film is online on our HUDL website. This is designed for our players to watch film of their past games and take those learning to improve their game. If your daughter wants to have access to her game film, ask her to send me a text at 816-977-5707 with a valid email address so I can send her an invitation to join the account.

Let’s have a great week. 2 more weeks of the regular season, then we go into the playoffs. Let’s finish strong.

Lady Titan LAX Family,

Week 4 of the 2019 season is upon us. We go into this week with 3-1 records for both the Varsity and the JV teams, with two difficult games scheduled for this week.

We had a great night last Thursday night vs LS North. For those of you who are experiencing your first season of LSW Lax, welcome to the rivalry…every game against LSN is that intense, and we may see them again in the playoffs.

We have 2 games this week, one home and one away. The Tuesday home game looks to have perfect weather forecasted. Thursday’s game is colder and rainy. Since we’ll be playing on a turf field for Thursday’s game, we will most likely play in the rain unless there is lightning, so I recommend you find rain gear.

Here’s what we have coming up for this week:
Monday 15 APRIL – Outdoor practice at 5pm. We will also have our Team Feeding at the Jo/Kate Boosman Family home immediately following practice. The Jo/Kate Boosman and Ava Brown families are teaming up for this feeding, so I recommend we arrive with an appetite. I will text out the address later today.

Tuesday 16 APRILGAMEDAY!! We play a home game vs St. Teresa’s Academy (who are in 1st place). JV Game at 5:30pm, Varsity at 7:00pm. Anyone wanting to volunteer to help with gameday preparations and breakdown, please be at the stadium by 4:45pm at the latest. We need help with setting up pylons and setting up Senior Banners. I will also need a volunteer to record our games from the press box as my video person will not be able to record the games on Tuesday. Invite your friends and family to come out and watch…the weather should be very good for lacrosse.

Wednesday 17 APRIL – Weather forecasts are calling for bad weather…so I will be requesting access to an aux gym for indoor practice at 5pm. We will also have our Team Feeding at the Ashlynn Boydston Family home immediately following practice. The Ashlynn Boydston and Coach Ernie/Danielle Cobbett Families will be teaming up for this feeding, and if past years are any indication of what’s in store, we are in for a treat. I will text out the address on Wednesday.

Thursday 18 APRILGAMEDAY!! We are scheduled for an away game vs Blue Valley. JV Game at 6:30pm, Varsity at 7:30pm. The game location is at the Blue Valley NW Football Stadium (see attached map). The address is 13260 Switzer, Overland Park, KS 66213. Please be at the stadium at 5:30pm. We will be playing on turf, so if it’s raining, we will play unless there’s lightning in the area.

It looks like we will have great weather until Wednesday, so let’s enjoy it while it’s here!

***PLEASE READ - Volunteer Information

Lady Titan LAX Parents,

I have been contacted by several of you willing to help out with the Senior Night activities and the End of Season Banquet. I just found out who is running point for these activities.

In an effort to remove me as the “middle-man”, here is the point of contact info:

Honey Hayes
816-305-6220
Honey.Hayes@lsr7.net

She will be the point person, so if you are able and willing to help out (we will need more help with the banquet than with Senior Night), please reach out to her directly.

Also, we really need help hanging up and taking down the Senior Banners during home games. With 17 banners to put up, we had coaches and players putting up and taking down banners for last night’s games vs LS North. If you are able to help, please help as coaches and players should be prepping for the games, not hanging up banners. Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Our next home game is scheduled for Tuesday 16 APRIL vs St. Teresa’s Academy. If you want to help with banners, we’ll be at the field around 4:30pm…and if you are still hanging around after the Varsity game, we would appreciate help taking the banners down. “Many hands make light work”

Have a great weekend.
~Coach Jay
