I was contacted by Coach Molly McCourt about the upcoming Rockhurst Univ Prospect Day for any player who may want a tour of the university, meet the coaches, etc…a former LSW Titan (Madison Cook) plays at Rock U.

Here are the details:
Please join us Saturday, October 12 to see all Rockhurst has to offer! Spend the day interacting with Rockhurst University staff, coaches, and athletes as you learn more about our academic and athletic programs. Your day will include a clinic and scrimmage run by our coaches and student-athletes, a Q&A session over pizza with our team, and a tour of our beautiful, centrally located campus.

Cost: $60

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

Now that we are back to school, I wanted to start my weekly emails to all of you to keep everyone informed about what’s coming up. Here’s what you need to know!

- Freshman Transition Day – We had about 7 of our players who graciously volunteered to speak to Freshman female students who were interested in learning more about our family. At the end of the three club-rush sessions, we had 25 names on the signup sheet of freshman girls who were interested in learning more.

- Fall Ball 7v7 – Registration for Fall Ball 7v7 is still open. If you are interested in participating, but have not signed up, go to www.kcgirlslax.com, click the Register Now button, and complete the registration. Make sure to choose LSW Titans as your team.

- Fall Indoor sessions – Fall indoor sessions at Lakeland Community Church are set to start on Tuesday 10 SEPT. We will have 8 sessions on Tuesday nights from 10 SEPT – 29 OCT from 7pm – 9pm. Cost will be $80 for all 8 sessions. Please bring your payment with you on the first night.

Also, I would like to congratulate our new LSW Lacrosse Board President Hope MacKenzie, who was voted into the position last Thursday evening at the Board meeting. Our new board will have equal representation from both the Boy’s and Girl’s teams, which is exactly what we strive for. Thank you to the following Board members for donating your time and talents to make sure our club is well taken care of for the upcoming season :

Also, thank you to Ronda Brown, Claudia Boosman and Brady Cantrell for volunteering to help with multiple Board committees. I appreciate you representing our team so well.

I would also like to personally extend my appreciation to Steve Oliver for serving as the LSW LAX Club President for the last 2 years. Thank you for a job well done!

Hello Lady Titan Family,

I hope everyone had a great summer vacation, and I hope everyone is excited for school to start next week. I wanted everyone to know that this is a very exciting year for us as we are entering the 10th season for LSW’s Lacrosse club, so we are celebrating a very important milestone in our club.

Now that we will be back into the swing of things at LSW, I wanted to touch base with everyone on what we can expect over the next few weeks:

1. We have a new faculty sponsor (Lisa Boulden), so we will be working with her as she takes over for Mr. Rasdall. I am very excited to work with her, and she seems very eager to help us out. Her room number is Rm 2178. Make sure you introduce yourself to her, because without her, we could not have a LSW Lacrosse club at the school.

2. We have Freshman Transition Day on Monday 12 AUG. If you know of any Freshman female student who may be interested in joining the LSW LAX family, tell her to visit RM 2178 during Club Rush on Monday morning. We will have 4-5 players there to talk about our team and hopefully generate interest in the club.

3. KC Metro Fall Ball registration is still open. This will be for Fall 7v7 on Sunday afternoons in October. Go to kcgirlslax.com and click Register Now and register to play for LS West.

4. Fall Indoor Training Sessions at Lakeland Community Church in Sept and Oct. Tuesday nights from 7-9pm at Lakeland. $80 for all 8 weeks. This will be a great opportunity for players new to the sport to try it before registration for the 2020 Spring season in December, and will be a great way for returning players to get touches on the ball again. Fall Sessions will start on 10 SEPT and run every Tuesday night through 29 OCT.

5. The August LSW Lacrosse Board Meeting is scheduled for next Thursday 15 AUG at 7pm in the LSW Library and Media Center. If you are interested on how our Lacrosse club is managed, how the money is spent, get updates on the teams, or if you want to donate your time and talents for major events we have throughout the year like Registration, Senior Night, and the End of Season Banquet, we would love to see you at the meeting.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone’s summer is treating them well. I had an opportunity to watch some of our girls playing in the summer league and was happy to see some players working on their games over the summer. As we draw ever so close to the start of the new school year, it’s time to start thinking about Fall LAX activities.

The 2019 Fall Ball season is coming up quickly, and registration is now open at www.kcgirlslax.com If you are interested in participating, go to the website, click the green “Register Now” button and sign up. Be sure to look for the LS West Titans team when signing up so the league can place you on the correct team. Player fee is $115.

Here are the dates for the Fall Ball Regular Season:
Sundays starting at 12 pm:
September 29th
October 6th
October 13th
October 20th

Fall Ball is going to be a little different this year with four (4) weekends being hosted by KCMGLA and the end of season Tournament being hosted by KC Heartland. The first 4 Sundays will be at Blue Valley North with 3 games running on one field (same as last year). We will have field managers and a trainer present every weekend. Each team will play 8 games.

For the Tournament hosted by KC Heartland, each team will automatically be entered in the tournament. The tournament will have two divisions, A and B. This will be a regional tournament with teams from the surrounding areas. The games will be at Scheel’s Sports Complex. This is a two-day event with a guarantee of 4 games. There will be college coaches for recruiting as well as food trucks and vendors!

Please get signed up as quickly as possible if you are interested! Time to get ready for next season. Recruit new players and get them to our Fall Indoor sessions at Lakeland starting in September.

Lady Titan Lacrosse Family,

I would like to officially introduce everyone to our newest family member, Lisa Boulden. Lisa is a Science teacher at LSW, and has graciously volunteered to be our LSW Faculty Sponsor for the Girl’s Lacrosse team moving forward replacing Dean Rasdall.
I personally met Lisa last night at the LSW Lacrosse Board Meeting, and I have a feeling she’s going to be a wonderful addition to our family and I am excited to work with her. I am working on getting her up to speed so she’ll be ready to roll by the time we start indoor in September.
