Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

Not much to report this week. I do want to make sure all of you know about the summer ULAX League. It’s open for all girls high school and up. Here are the details below:

ULAXers, Registration for our summer leagues (HS Boys, Women/HS Girls and Men) in KC is now open. Visit the league pages (links below) for details and to register today.

We are closely monitoring the situation involving the coronavirus pandemic and are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to begin the season as scheduled. If we are unable to do so, we will make every effort to reschedule games throughout the course of the summer and will issue a prorated refund (based on a 5 game season) for games that are not played. In the event that we are forced to cancel the league due to the pandemic, we will provide all registered players with a credit, refund or other options.

Team Captains/Coaches/Admin: Please email us at kc@ulax.org to lock in your team’s spot today.

Here is the proposed tentative schedule as of today:
Games will be played from 6pm-9pm at the Overland Park Soccer Complex (135th & Switzer) on the following dates:
June 4th
June 11th
June 18th
June 25th
June 29th
July 9th
July 16th (playoffs and/or championship for the top teams

So, if you want to play make sure you register. Costs will go up if you register after 14 MAY. There will not be any practices…this will be much like Fall Ball.

There you go! Let’s hope the quarantine is over and lifted by June so we can actually play some lacrosse.

On another note, I have already reserved Lakeland Community Church’s indoor field for Fall Indoor Sessions. Mark your calendars for 8 SEPT – 27 OCT (Tues nights from 7pm – 9pm). Cost is the same at $80. Spread the word. If you know of any LSW girls who may be interested in trying lacrosse, please let them know about these sessions.

Also, for those of you who have yet to pick up your team shirts, we will schedule another pick-up date with Coach Casie here in the near future to give you another opportunity. Once we nail down that date/time, I’ll let you know.

I know we are missing lacrosse right now, I know I am. Just so we can get our fix, I wanted to let everyone know that I received information about the ULAX Summer League. The league is open for all players that will be going into 9th grade for the ‘20-’21 school year and older. This will also be open to college-age players as well.

If you choose to register, you can choose LS West as your team. Method of payment is either PayPal or via Credit Card. Below is the email from the ULAX League…please read:

Below is a communication from the LSW LAX Board about refunds. Please read:

LSW Lacrosse Families,

We hope everyone is staying healthy and making the best of the current situation. This is an unfortunate circumstance and we are heartbroken for the players, especially the seniors, and the coaches. LSW lacrosse is a family. Although we can not be physically together, please know that we are with all of you. Hopefully the players are staying connected virtually and making the most of this time, as well as enjoying their time with family.

We apologize this email has taken so long to get to you, but we have been trying to determine the best way for us to issue refunds. Please complete the Google Form (https://forms.gle/8GMP8Pq5TAz7KJi98) to provide us with the appropriate information to get your refund to you. We will make every effort to distribute these refunds in a timely manner, but we ask that you please be patient with us since they all need to go through the Booster Club.

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is staying safe. Thank goodness the weather looks to be warming up so we can at least go outside more often. I don’t have much to share, but here’s what I have:

- CONGRATS to RUTHIE COX!! Yesterday I got the news that she committed to playing lacrosse at Missouri Valley College starting next year. She’ll be joining Ashlynn Oliver and now ex-Coach Taylor Gutierrez (who is transferring to MoValley to play there next year as well) Congratulations, Ruthie…you are going to be great. Good luck to Ruthie and Coach Taylor next season!

- Uniform and Team Shirt Pickup: Remember to swing by Coach Casie’s house tomorrow evening between 6pm – 7pm to pick up a uniform (if you are first year player and ordered one) and your team shirt. Her address is 2500 SW 11th St, LSMO 64081

I heard a rumor that there will be a ULAX Summer League this summer just like last year. The league will be open to all players from 15yrs old to college players…which means players who were Seniors this year are eligible. As soon as I get some details, I’ll share it with everyone.

Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope everyone is doing well and staying safe. Personally, I am getting stir crazy and wish I was on the field with the coaches and players.

I wanted to send this out to everyone because the team shirts are in, as well as the uniforms for all of the 1st year players who ordered them last December. Coach Casie has them all separated and bagged individually, so all you need to do is drive up and she’ll throw the bag at you to maintain social distancing. She’s got a good arm, so be ready.

So, let’s plan on doing this pick up between 6pm and 7pm on Tuesday 21 APRIL at Coach Casie’s house. Her address is: * 2500 SW 11th St, LSMO 64081*.

So, if you ordered a uniform, come pick it up. If you didn’t order a uniform, you still get a 2020 season team shirt. Either way, swing on by.

I know a few of you have asked about refunds. I promise you the LAX Board is working on it and will be sending a communication out soon.
