Hello Lady Titan LAX Family,

I know we are missing lacrosse right now, I know I am. Just so we can get our fix, I wanted to let everyone know that I received information about the ULAX Summer League. The league is open for all players that will be going into 9th grade for the ‘20-’21 school year and older. This will also be open to college-age players as well.

If you choose to register, you can choose LS West as your team. Method of payment is either PayPal or via Credit Card. Below is the email from the ULAX League…please read:

ULAXers, Registration for our summer leagues (HS Boys, Women/HS Girls and Men) in KC is now open. Visit the league pages (links below) for details and to register today.

We are closely monitoring the situation involving the coronavirus pandemic and are cautiously optimistic that we will be able to begin the season as scheduled. If we are unable to do so, we will make every effort to reschedule games throughout the course of the summer and will issue a prorated refund (based on a 5 game season) for games that are not played. In the event that we are forced to cancel the league due to the pandemic, we will provide all registered players with a credit, refund or other options.

Here is the proposed tentative schedule as of today:
Games will be played from 6pm-9pm at the Overland Park Soccer Complex (135th & Switzer) on the following dates:
June 4th
June 11th
June 18th
June 25th
June 29th
July 9th
July 16th (playoffs and/or championship for the top teams

So, if you want to play make sure you register. Costs will go up if you register after 14 MAY. There will not be any practices…this will be much like Fall Ball.

There you go! Let’s hope the quarantine is over and lifted by June so we can actually play some lacrosse.

On another note, I have already reserved Lakeland Community Church’s indoor field for Fall Indoor Sessions. Mark your calendars for 8 SEPT – 27 OCT (Tues nights from 7pm – 9pm). Cost is the same at $80. Spread the word. If you know of any LSW girls who may be interested in trying lacrosse, please let them know about these sessions.
