***IMPORTANT - SPECTATOR RULES/GUIDELINES FOR LACROSSE GAMES***

Posted by Jay Hertzler on Mar 05 2021 at 06:58AM PST in Spring 2021

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

After posting the schedule yesterday, I was contacted my several parents asking for our guidelines when it comes to attending games. The guidelines posted below are for Home Games as every school district has their own specific set of guidelines. I will say that basic social distancing and wearing a mask are the two most fundamental things you can do as spectators regardless of whether it’s a home game or an away game. Here are the guidelines posted by LSW:

ALL spectators will be expected to wear a mask and socially distance. If fans choose not to follow social distancing and mask expectations the following results may occur:
- Stoppage of play until guidelines are met with a possible forfeit result
- Removal from event and future events
- No spectators allowed at future events
Public health information is rapidly evolving, and it is important to remember that these guidelines will be updated as needed as we work closely with the Greater Kansas City Suburban Conference, local health officials, and our state activities association to prioritize health and safety.

LACROSSE
Varsity/JV
• All matches home and away are closed to the public
• Two spectators per participant, not to exceed 100 spectators per event
• Masks that cover the nose and mouth must be worn at all times by those in attendance
• Social distancing by player and fans
• No Concessions
• Fans will be asked to leave upon completion of their athlete’s match
• Away ticketing will be determined by the host school

For the first time in our 10 year history, we will not have the entire team (Varsity & JV) on-site cheering each other on. I know this puts a huge damper on our One Big Happy Family culture and I don’t like it at all, but it’s necessary for this season.

So, here’s what it should look like for our first game on 23 MARCH (and then all others for the remainder of the season):

- JV players arrive at 4:45pm to get ready and warm up.
- No more than 2 spectators per player should be in attendance
- All spectators will NEED to wear a mask.
- All players will NEED a mask, and wear it while warming up and while on the sideline. They can take the mask off during game play per the KC Metro League guidelines.
- All coaches and managers will NEED to wear a mask.
- JV plays at 5:30 – 6:30pm. At the end of the game, all JV players and parents will be asked to leave. Please clear the bleachers as quickly as you can to make room for the Varsity spectators.

- Varsity players arrive at 6:15pm to get ready and warm up. They will need to stay at the south end of the field until the bench area is cleared by the JV team.
- No more than 2 spectators per player should be in attendance. Spectators for the Varsity team should be mindful of the JV spectators leaving and wait until space opens in the bleachers before sitting down to maintain social distancing.
- All spectators will NEED to wear a mask.
- All players will NEED a mask, and wear it while warming up and while on the sideline. They can take the mask off during game play per the KC Metro League guidelines.
- All coaches and managers will NEED to wear a mask.
- Varsity plays at 7:00 – 8:00pm. At the end of the game, all Varsity players and parents will be asked to leave.

I hope this helps. I know it’s a lot, but it’s what we have to do to make sure our players actually have a season. I appreciate everyone’s flexibility and patience with this. Let’s all make sure we are doing our part and that we are all part of the solution, not the problem.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

~Coach Jay
