This Week in Lady Titans Lacrosse - Week of 22 JUNE

Posted by Jay Hertzler on Jun 22 2020 at 06:48AM PDT in 2020 Season

Good Morning Lady Titan LAX Family,

I hope all the Lady Titan LAX Dads had a wonderful Father’s Day yesterday. We appreciate all you do for your daughters and are glad you are part of our lax family.

Due to the fact that ULAX pushed the league schedule back a week, it looks like we have 3 games total for this week according to the schedule on their website. Here’s the breakdown:

Goal Diggers (Varsity)
- Thursday 25 JUNE at 6pm vs BV Titans. Field #10.

Mesh Addicts (JV)
- Tuesday 23 JUNE at 6pm vs KC Yellow. Field #12
- Thursday 25 JUNE at 7pm vs LSN/BV Titans. Field #12

Please arrive onsite at least 30 mins prior to your game times. In preparation for your first games, this is very important because we need to distribute the game pinnies to everyone.

I have also attached the field map again for everyone’s reference.

Also, please take a moment to familiarize yourself with the ULAX COVID guidelines they will be using during games:

ULAX HEALTH GUIDELINES TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19:
PRE GAME:
-Players, staff and coaches must self screen for any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19 immediately prior to coming to the field each week and refrain from attending the game if you are experiencing any of these worsening signs or symptoms: Cough, Sore Throat, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Loss of taste or smell, Chills, Diarrhea, Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, Muscle pain, Headache, Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19;
-Players must put on equipment prior to coming to the field, leaving all personal items (e.g., equipment bag), other than personal water bottle, at home/in vehicle;
-Players and coaches must wait for participants from previous game to exit the field area prior to entering the field area;
-Players, coaches and staff should have a face covering (e.g., gaiter) or mask readily available at all times;
-Players, coaches and staff should wear a face covering (e.g., gaiter) or mask when social distancing is not possible;
-Pre-game, in game and post game team/group huddles are discouraged;
-No shared water coolers.

IN GAME:
-Players, coaches and staff must leave the field immediately if they experience any of the following new or worsening signs or symptoms of possible COVID-19: Cough, Sore Throat, Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, Loss of taste or smell, Chills, Diarrhea, Feeling feverish or a measured temperature greater than or equal to 100.0 degrees Fahrenheit, Muscle pain, Headache, Known close contact with a person who is lab confirmed to have COVID-19;
-Players, coaches and staff will be required to practice social distancing when on the sidelines (e.g., avoid team huddles);
-Players, coaches and staff should have a face covering (e.g., gaiter) or mask readily available at all times;
-Players, coaches and staff should wear a face covering (e.g., gaiter) or mask when social distancing is not possible when on the sidelines;
-Players should consider wearing a face covering (e.g, gaiter) or mask, to the extent possible, when on the field;
-Finesse (e.g., ball movement, body positioning) over physical play is encouraged;

POST GAME:
-No post-game handshakes/high fives;
-Players and coaches should immediately leave the field area once their game has ended;
-Minimize in-person contact with any person 65 years of age or older, especially those with pre-existing health conditions, for a period of 14 days. This includes maintaining social distancing of at least 6 feet of separation from those individuals, wearing a face covering or mask, and avoiding sharing utensils or other common objects with those individuals.

SPECTATORS:
Groups of spectators should avoid being in a group larger than 10 individuals. Within these groups, individuals should, to the extent possible, minimize in-person contact (i.e., maintaining 6 feet of separation) with others not in the individuals household. When maintaining social distancing is not feasible, other methods (e.g., wearing a face covering/mask) should be utilized.

That’s it for this week. Hopefully I’ll see everyone at the games! I am not sure that there are bleachers onsite, so I recommend bringing lawn chairs just in case.
