Hello Lady Titan Family,

I hope everyone had a great summer vacation, and I hope everyone is excited for school to start next week. I wanted everyone to know that this is a very exciting year for us as we are entering the 10th season for LSW’s Lacrosse club, so we are celebrating a very important milestone in our club.

Now that we will be back into the swing of things at LSW, I wanted to touch base with everyone on what we can expect over the next few weeks:

1. We have a new faculty sponsor (Lisa Boulden), so we will be working with her as she takes over for Mr. Rasdall. I am very excited to work with her, and she seems very eager to help us out. Her room number is Rm 2178. Make sure you introduce yourself to her, because without her, we could not have a LSW Lacrosse club at the school.

2. We have Freshman Transition Day on Monday 12 AUG. If you know of any Freshman female student who may be interested in joining the LSW LAX family, tell her to visit RM 2178 during Club Rush on Monday morning. We will have 4-5 players there to talk about our team and hopefully generate interest in the club.

3. KC Metro Fall Ball registration is still open. This will be for Fall 7v7 on Sunday afternoons in October. Go to kcgirlslax.com and click Register Now and register to play for LS West.

4. Fall Indoor Training Sessions at Lakeland Community Church in Sept and Oct. Tuesday nights from 7-9pm at Lakeland. $80 for all 8 weeks. This will be a great opportunity for players new to the sport to try it before registration for the 2020 Spring season in December, and will be a great way for returning players to get touches on the ball again. Fall Sessions will start on 10 SEPT and run every Tuesday night through 29 OCT.

5. The August LSW Lacrosse Board Meeting is scheduled for next Thursday 15 AUG at 7pm in the LSW Library and Media Center. If you are interested on how our Lacrosse club is managed, how the money is spent, get updates on the teams, or if you want to donate your time and talents for major events we have throughout the year like Registration, Senior Night, and the End of Season Banquet, we would love to see you at the meeting.
