WWCM downs Warwick, 9-2!
Led by the solid pitching of Logan Dean and Nathan Hunt, West Warwick defeated Warwick PAL, 9-2, in Connie Mack action on June 22nd.
Dean, who worked the first three innings, allowed one unearned run, while striking out two batters and Hunt, who pitched the middle three innings, held PAL scoreless.
Offensively, the black and orange, who did benefit from six errors, made the most of their opportunities with timely hitting. Leading the way for them were Dylan Lombari (1/3, one run, two solen bases), Brendan Griffin (1/3, three runs, 1 stolen base), Calvin Battersby (1/4), Nathan Hunt (1/3, one run, one rbi and three stolen bases), Nick Brown (2/3, two doubles and two runs scored) and Maverick Morgera (1/2, one waalk and 1 stolen bases.
For Warwick, Matt Colvin had an rbi single and Wheeler had two hits and two runs scored in the lead-off spot.
