Led by a strong defense and the pitching of T. Fagan and Z. Miner, Westerly edged East Providence, 4-3.

East Providence received a solid effort from Botelho and Sutton.

The Knights took an early 1-0 lead in the first inning on a rbi single by Lincoln.

In the second inning, the Bulldogs took a 2-1 lead on timely hits by by McAllister, Pearson and Kyan.

East Providence tied it in the third inning after a lead-off single by Lourenco (2/3 on the day).

Down 3-2, East Providence fought back again to knot it at 3-3 on a single to left field to score Sutton.

In the bottom of the seventh, however, Westerly’s McAllister singled and opportunistically work around the horn to score for the win, 4-3.
