Chargers move onto the finals!
The Chariho Chargers moved onto the Rhode Island Connie Mack State Championship series by defeating West Warwick in their best two out of three series.
Game One:
Led by an 11-hit attack, the Chargers defeated West Warwick, 12-0.
West Warwick, who was playing their seventh game in ten days had no answer to the hot bats of Chariho.
Offensively, the received hit from Anthony Fusaro (1/3, two runs and two stolen bases), Justin Giles (1/3, one double and three rbi’s), John Pellegrino (2/3, one rbi), Alan Carpenter (3/3 one run and two rbi’s), Jack Kesner (1/3, two runs scored), Brendon McGovern (1/3, one rbi), Jason Edwards (1/3, one double) and Jack Stevens (1/3, two runs scored).
Game Two:
In a well-pitched game, Chariho squeaked by West Warwick, 3-0, to close out the series.
