Hello,

The first track meet will be on Saturday, January 27th at Mountain Pointe High School, 4201 E Knox Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85044 at 9am. ALL athletes should be there by 8am and sit in the first section closest to the finish line.  8 and under parents will do clerking... everyone will do concessions.

We will not be wearing uniforms in the first 2 track meets.  If you have a uniform, please DO NOTwear it. Please have your child wear black shorts or tights and a red shirt.  Preferably tight fitting or compression type wear.
 
Entry sheets are below as well as the clerking and concession schedules.

 
If anyone can come help Coach Norine on Friday, please contact her directly at 480-330-5615 to see what she needs. 
 
Each family is required to donate 2 cases of Water and 1 case of Gatorade.  If you can do more please do.... you can bring extra water and Gatorade or Capri Suns, Soda, Candy, Chips, Cookies and other nonperishable items for the team to sale. Please bring your items to practice and give to a coach.  If you have a truck to load with water and Gatorade please let us know. 
  
The concessions are used as fundraisers to help athletes who cannot afford to pay their fees and/or travel.  If you have any connections for pizza, buns, hot dogs, links, hamburgers or any other items we can sell or can donate these items let us know.
 
PLEASE NOTE THAT EVERYONE ON THE TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR HELPING WITH CLEAN UP AFTER THE MEET. We have to make sure the stands & the track are clean so please do not leave without doing your share.  It will be important to clean throughout the track meet...I have assigned the following dads to keep trash at bay throughout the day so we are not there cleaning all night.  Others can help. Trash bags are at concessions:

We have concessions at this meet.  It is our only one for the year.  Please read separate email on this.

All athletes will run in this developmental meet.  Please note that your child will not
be entered into the meet if we have not received some sort of payment and paperwork unless you have contacted us.... no exceptions!!!

Please check the Entry Sheets for accuracy.  Entries are due to be turned in each Tuesday the week of a track meet.  I will be doing entries tonight.  IF YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE RUNNING IN THIS MEET, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP.

Most of the athletes will run the 100, 200, 400 with a few exceptions depending on age and if you are a distance runner or thrower.

  • If you have not responded regarding Flagstaff please do so ASAP.  I have 3 rooms left.
  • If your child is not listed and will be competing in track meets, please send their name, parents name and date of birth to azcheetahs@yahoo.com.  Those doing training only should not be listed.

Hi guys,

We have concessions at the 1st track meet on January 27, 2018 which will be held at Mountain Pointe High School. 

We will need help starting at 7am on Saturday, January 27th.  If anyone can come help Coach Norine on Friday, please contact her directly at 480-330-5615 to see what she needs.  If you know of someone who needs community service hours, please send me their name ASAP so they can be scheduled.  Allparents with kids running will be scheduled for concessions but there will be an age group assigned to clerking.

I am assigning some dads to be responsible for clean up throughout the day and making sure everyone is cleaning after the track meet.  Please remember not to leave as it is the entire team'sresponsibility to stay and clean at the end of the meet.

26th Annual Indoor Classic - Flagstaff

If you need a room I need to know by Monday, January 22, 2018.....

 

 

26th Annual Indoor Classic Details:  
  • Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff.  Track meet starts are 8:00am.
  • All athletes need to be at the track by 7:00am wearing Black and Red (No athlete should have on any other colors, including undergarments).
  • This is a great indoor meet and has participants from other states.  Everyone should try to attend.  Please note that there is no school on Monday, February 19th - Presidents Day. 
  • All athletes are eligible to participate in this meet. Majority of the team will go up on Saturday and stay overnight and some even stay until Monday as the meet ends late on Sunday.
  • Please email us at azcheetahs@yahoo.com if you need a room with Your Name, Arrival Date, Departure date, Phone Number, Child's Name.
We will be staying at the Embassy Suites, 706 S Milton Road, Flagstaff,  AZ 86001. The room rate is $129.00 a night plus tax, includes a free cooked to order breakfast and complimentary drinks.  
 
High Schoolers can and will participate in the meet. Please let me know as soon as possible if your high schooler will be competing in Flagstaff.
 
DO NOT CALL THE HOTEL TO RESERVE - Please send me an email.  You will be notified after the rooming list is complete when you can call.  Guys we obtained a discount and are under contract to use a certain number of rooms.  If you sign up for a room, please do not call and cancel or even worst just not show up because the team will be liable.  I need to know of all changes and/or decisions regarding rooms whether the room is confirmed on your credit card or not.

Your Name, Arrival Date, Departure date, Phone Number, Child's Name

 

If you are attending, but do not need a hotel room, please let me know via email.

Missing Applications & Birth Certificates

I have several athletes that are practicing without any paperwork turned in. Please, please, please turn in your Applications & Birth Certificates ASAP!!!
