The road to Williamsport began on Monday night, June 29th, 2009. I took the trip 92 miles up I-95 to the little town of Island Falls, Maine.  The game pitted the host Katahdin Valley verus the all stars from Millinocket. It good start towards my final goal of Williamsport, Millinocket won by the ten run rule.

The next stop was just down the Penobscot River to Orrington.  This game featured the host Orrington All Stars verus the new kids on the block, Sebasticook. This game was also decided by the ten run rule, with the new kids on the block winning.  Next stop, Millinocket.

 

Like Troy Lare, I to will post the daily happens from Williamsport. I received notification from Williamsport on January 3rd, 2009. I was out of town for the weekend when my daughter called me and said I had a letter from Little League. I had her read it and that is how I received my news. I really thought she was pulling my leg and had her fax the letter to the hotel I was staying at.  This has been a goal of mine for a long time and I hope to share the expierance as the tournament goes on with the rest of you.
