Humacao hit a World Series record-tying six home runs to defeat Davenport-West, 16-5, eliminating the North Zone champs. Frank Molina had three homers in consecutive at bats, tying a World Series record. Humacao has a rematch with New York Thursday night, and must beat the East Zone team twice to go to the Saturday championship game. Frank Molina hit a two-run homer to center. Humacao 3rd: After one out, Frank Molina hit a solo home run to left. Adalberto Alvira hit a home run to right. Davenport 3rd: Troy Harrington led off with a single to center. Colin Bickford singled to left. Both runners moved up on base by balk. After two outs, another balk allowed Harrington to score. Ryan Caudle singled to right, scoring Bickford. Louie Hepler singled to right, advancing Caudle to third -- Hepler took second on the throw to third. Trey Meyer was intentionally welked to load the bases. Pinch-hitter Nathan Smith walked, forcing home Caudle. Travis Martins singled to center, scoring Hepler and Meyer. Humacao 4th: Yamil Ares led off with a bunt single toward third. He took second by error on pickoff attempt (P). Jonathan Rosa singled to left, scoring Ares. Alexander Rivera was hit by a pitch. After an out, Frank Molina hit a 3-run homer to center, his third home run in consecutive at bats (tying record with two other players, including Jean Carlos Rodriguez of New York in game 6 of 2003). Humacao 5th: Christian Saez led off with a single to center and stole second. Jorge Rivera reached first by error (1B), while pinch runner Jonathan Velazquez moved to third. Rivera stole secong. Yamil Ares walked to load the bases. After an out, Alexander Rivera reached by infield single near third, scoring Saez. Jose Ortiz was hit by a pitch, forcing home Rivera. A wild pitch scored Ares. Alexander Rivera scored from third on an errant throw (C) on pickoff attempt. Ortiz scored from third on a balk. After an out, Adalberto Alvira walked. Jonathan Ortiz hit a two-run homer to right.
