A great start to the season for JV and Varsity!
JV started the evening off holding Danvers to a well fought 0-0 draw.
The main event of the evening was the Varsity game and event for TOPS. It was a great way to start the season under the lights and with cider and donuts from Wilson Farms.
The finally tally of money raised for TOPS has not yet been calculated, but was in excess of $1,000 and the raffle drawing was completed after the game: The winners of the raffle were:
Silver prize: Mirabelle Harris (over $200 in gift cards/certificates to local businesses).
Gold prize: Hailey Kingsbury (over $400 in gift cards/certificates to local businesses).
The game itself was exciting with Sancho opening the scoring and Danvers equalizing shortly thereafter. Another free kick from Sancho put LHS up deep in the second half, with Eric Espino adding to LHS’ score in the final seconds of the game to end it 3-1.
The booster club would like to thank all the parents and students that came out to support their teams and TOPS.
