Four new teams entered this week’s rankings, including No. 19 Paul Dunbar (Lexington, Ky.).

The Pirates won five games last week, capped by a 4-1 victory over Delbarton in which senior right-hander Rick Porcello fanned 15 and allowed just five hits in seven innings. Porcello is rated the nation’s No. 7 prospect in the Class of 2007 by RISE.
2. Brophy Prep // Phoenix, Ariz. // 22-2 // *3
The Broncos, who picked up two more wins last week, have scored 214 runs this season while holding their opponents to just 75.
3. Katy // Katy, Texas // 25-3 // *5
The Tigers tallied 17 hits en route to a 23-0 blanking of Alief Hastings. Daniel Schram went 3-for-3 with two doubles and six RBI to pace the offensive attack. Katy has won 17 consecutive games.
4. Kennesaw Mountain // Kennesaw, Ga. // 16-2 // *7
Josh Means improved to 5-0 this year after he went the distance in the Mustangs’ 11-0 victory over Harrison in five innings. Means struck out five and allowed just four hits, while senior center fielder Navarro Hall went 1-for-2 with two walks, two steals and two runs scored.
5. Flower Mound // Flower Mound, Texas // 21-2-2 // *9
Senior right-hander Zach Neal tossed a complete game shutout and struck out 13 to lead Flower Mound to a 3-0 victory over Hebron. Neal allowed just four hits in the win.
6. Madison // Vienna, Va. // 10-1 // *10
Madison outscored its opponents 14-2 last week in wins over Marshall (4-2) and W.T. Woodson (10-0).
7. Palm Beach Gardens // Palm Beach Gardens, Fla. // 22-2 // *11
Senior right-hander Sean Koecheler pitched a one-hitter in the Gators’ 12-1, five-inning win over Cardinal Newman. Koecheler struck out 10, while the only hit he allowed was a solo homer by Cardinal Newman’s Sean Killeen.
8. South Caldwell // Hudson, N.C. // 16-1 // *2
South Caldwell suffered its first loss of the season in a 2-1 loss to East Rutherford in the championship game of the Shelby Savings Bank Easter Baseball Tournament. East Rutherford snagged the narrow victory thanks to a walk-off solo shot by catcher Michael Milam. South Caldwell senior-left-hander Madison Bumgarner fanned 11 in the loss, while East Rutherford right-hander Ryan Leach struck out 10.
9. Horizon // Scottsdale, Ariz. // 23-3 // *4
The Huskies were edged by Mountain View, 2-1. Connor Hulse pitched a complete game three-hitter in the loss. Horizon bounced back with three consecutive wins, including an 11-0 victory over Desert Mountain in five innings. Senior right-hander Tim Alderson picked up the win to improve to 8-0 on the season.
10. Barbe // Lake Charles, La. // 29-3 // *13
Senior shortstop Carmen Angelini went 3-for-4 with a homer, a triple and three RBI to help the Buccaneers past Acadiana, 14-6.
11. Auburn // Auburn, Wash. // 11-1 // *14
Auburn cruised past Enumclaw, 11-1, and has scored 10 or more runs in five of the last seven games.
12. Lexington Catholic // Lexington, Ky. // 10-1 // *16
Senior outfielder Justin Riddell hit two homers and had five RBI in an 11-2 win over Lexington Christian.
13. James Monroe // New York, N.Y. // 22-0 // *18
The Eagles earned four victories last week thanks in large part to senior shortstop/center fielder Delgis Soto, who went 5-for-7 with two doubles, a homer and seven RBI during the week. This season, Soto is batting .521 with four homers, 30 RBI and 23 stolen bases.
14. Bellaire // Bellaire, Texas // 28-0 // *20
Bellaire scored a whopping 78 runs in four wins last week, including a 28-1 victory over Sam Houston. Six players hit homers for Bellaire, which tallied 18 hits.
15. Long Beach Wilson // Long Beach, Calif. // 19-2 // *6
Wilson lost to Thousand Oaks, 7-4, in the Anaheim Lions Tournament, but bounced back with a 10-0 victory over Katella in which senior shortstop Ryan Dent went 2-for-2 with a triple and four RBI.
16. Bishop Gorman // Las Vegas, Nev. // 21-3-1 // *8
The Gaels lost to Monterey (Monterey, Calif.), 7-2, in the finals of the Easter Classic. Senior Taylor Cole and sophomore Joey Rickard each had two hits in the loss.
17. Sarasota // Sarasota, Fla. // 19-3 // *21
The Sailors upended Durant, 15-6, as Casey Kelly picked up his seventh win of the season and three hitters hit homers.
18. Lakewood // Lakewood, Calif. // 20-3 // *22
The Lancers bested El Toro, 6-3, to win the Anaheim Lions Tournament. Senior catcher Travis d’Arnaud hit a two-run homer and an RBI single in the win. Senior third baseman Trevor Costin tallied nine RBI during the tournament to earn tournament MVP honors.
19. Paul Dunbar // Lexington, Ky. // 15-0 // *NR
Senior right-hander Thomas Royse allowed just two hits and fanned 11 over six innings as Dunbar defeated Lafayette, 6-0.
20. West Lauderdale // Collinsville, Miss. // 27-1 // *NR
West Lauderdale makes its rankings debut after defeating Kosciusko, 6-1. West Lauderdale hasn’t lost since Feb. 24.
21. Langham Creek // Houston, Texas // 24-2 // *17
Langham Creek suffered its second loss to Cy-Fair (17-7) this season. The Bobcats blanked the Lobos, 7-0, thanks to junior right-hander Tommy Collier, who tossed a complete game two-hitter with six strikeouts.
22. Owasso // Owasso, Okla. // 19-3 // *NR
Junior left-hander Brian Flynn dominated Bartlesville to lead Owasso to a 9-0 win. Flynn struck out nine and allowed three hits in six innings.
23. Bishop Moore // Orlando, Fla. // 22-1 // *19
The Hornets had their 22-game winning streak snapped in a 5-2 loss to Cardinal Gibbons in the championship game of the Catholic Challenge.
24. Chatsworth // Chatsworth, Calif. // 16-4 // *25
The Chancellors edged El Camino Real twice last week and upended San Fernando, 12-1. Senior third baseman Matt Dominguez provided the offensive punch in the win over San Fernando by going 3-for-3 with a grand slam.
25. Pace // Pace, Fla. // 19-2 // *NR
The defending Class 5A state champs re-enter the rankings after defeating Crestview, 7-3, to cap the District 1-5A season. Drew Cumberland hit a three-run homer in the win and went 4-for-4 in a 12-1 win over Fort Walton last Thursday.
