Day one of the Sorcerer summer season featured perfect weather, but a bit less than perfect play, with Sorcerer winning two of three games in showcase format play in Stockton and earning as many runs as we gave up. With 2 triples in 3 games, Jordan Wallace led the Sorcerers in the power hitting department. However, it was Maya Burns who demonstrated the most consistency at the plate, with 6 hits in 7 at bats, including one triple to deep left-center field in the third game. Also contributing triples were Ashley Rose and Whitney Shaw, who belted the ball deep into the outfield. Play continues Sunday morning at 9:45 AM. |
