Bears win pair over weekend, improve record to 26-13-1.

The North Royalton Bears played two this past weekend facing off against the Fremont Ice Wolves in league play on February 8th and the Ft. LeBoeuf Bisons in an exhibition game on February 9th.

North Royalton played Fremont on Saturday, in league play, defeating the Ice Wolves 4-0. The win improved the Bears North Coast High School Hockey League record to 12-4 and helped them secure a top 4 seed come playoffs. Dylan Kovach got the scoring started, early in the 1st period, assisted by Michael Schlegel & Preston Vinyard and Timmy Orlosky scored, late in the 1st, assisted by the same pair. The Bears got a pair of goals in the middle frame as well; Garry Burgett scored his first of the season assisted by Schlegel and Kovach scored his 2nd of the game assisted by AJ Bogdan & James Miles. Marc Silver stopped all 14 shots he faced for his 5th shutout of the season.

The Bears defeated the Ft. LeBoeuf Bisons, 7-4, in non-league play on February 9th in Erie, PA. Michael Dzoba (3G, 2A) and Aaron Wynbrandt (3G) each scored three times for hat trick while Christian Fernandez (1G) picked up a solo score. The win improves the Bears overall record to 26-13-1.
