HIGH SCHOOL SEASON WEEK 7

The weather and SCP bats heated up in week 7 as the high school season begins to wind down into the final weeks before post season play.

RAFAEL GONZALEZ 2010 Cypress Bay HS went 4 for 6 with 2 doubles and a GRAND SLAM to help lead the Lightning to 2 conference victories in week 7.

BLAINE LEWIS 2011 Mallard Creek HS hit 3 home runs in week 7 plus a double going 6 for 8 with 8 RBI's. Blaine hit 2 of his home runs in the same game, leading the Mavs to a 3-2 victory. JACKSON CAMPANA 2012 Providence HS also hit 3 home runs including a GRAND SLAM while driving in 10 runs. Jackson hit a home run in 3 consecutive games.

Other Panthers hitting home runs in week 7 were TYLER ALBERTS with 2 in the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Tournament; TREY LANEY 2010 Charlotte Christian/Western Carolina; his second and KURT SEMENIUK 2010 Providence HS; his first.

TY LINTON 2010 Charlotte Christian hit 2 home runs including a game winning walk off to take his season total to 6.

On the pitching front; TYLER McCARTHY 2011 (3-1) Mallard Creek HS pitched 6 innings of 1 hit ball for his third victory of the year.

ERIC BRENK 2010 (4-2) Concord HS pitched the Spiders to a victory over Observer Sweet 16 #1 Mt. Pleasant in a complete game victory at the Intimidator Classic. Eric also had 2 doubles in the tournament.

In individual game action JAKE FINCHER 2011 Butler HS went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's; ZACH LAX 2011 Marvin Ridge went 2 for 4 to keep his average over .475 for the season. LOGAN RATLEDGE 2011 Ardrey Kell 3 for 5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI's, followed by a 3 for 3 game. PETER HENDEL 2011 Weddington 2 for 5 in a doubleheader with 2 doubles. BRADLEY MORTON 2011 Mt. Tabor went 3 for 4 then 2 for 3 with a double and TANNER VOGLER 1 for 2 with the game winning RBI in the Winston Salem/Forsyth County Spring Tournament to help lead the Spartans to the championship. JAKE WATSON went 2 for 2 wih an RBI.
