PANTHERS ON THE COURT

SCP only had one full time high school varsity basketball player this winter but he was a big one and had a season for the ages.

In the three game series Conner scored 47 points; pulled down 36 rebounds and dished out 7 assists. He led his team in scoring two of the three games including the championship game where he scored 21 points. Holcomb finished the year with a 24-1 record with Conner averaging 18 points and 10 rebounds per game.

On top of the MOP award Conner was voted to the 4A All Tournament First Team; the Kansas 4A All State Team; the Greater Western Kansas All Classification Honorable Mention and the Wichita Eagle All Classification Honorable Mention Team. VanCleave was voted to the All Conference Team as well.

Conner will put down the round ball and picks up the baseball and bat where he will help lead the Longhorns this spring and work to defend his Greater Western Kansas Player of the Year award from his freshman season when he finished with a 8-3 record while recording 106 strike outs in 69 innings pitched and hitting .338 with 2 HRs and 29 RBIs.
