SOUTH CHARLOTTE PANTHERS- PERFECT GAME UNDERCLASS 

The SCP 2014s advanced to the Sweet 16 of the Perfect Game World Wood Bat Underclass Championship in Fort Myers, Florida. In a field of 166 teams the Cats went 3-0 in pool play and advanced to the 42 team play offs where they won 2 games and in a third game in a row went to the brink of advancing to the final 8; losing in extra innings. Leading the Panther hitters for the weekend were Bradley Brown 6-13 (.462) with a double and 3 RBIs; Foster Machicote 6-15 (.400) with 2 Runs Scored and 2 Stolen Bases and Josh Crump 7-21 (.333) with 2 doubles; 3 Stolen Bases and 4 Runs Scored.  Doug Norman went 2-4 (.500) with 2 doubles. Nick Owens finished the weekend with 6 stolen bases.

Brandon Casas had a Win in two outings with a total of 7 innings pitched; giving up no runs and striking out 5. Ryder Ryan picked up 2 Wins on the mound; pitching 7 innings in two outings; striking out 7. Doug Norman picked up a Win; combining with Bradley Brown for an opening game no hitter. Corey Sikes gave up 0 runs in three separate outings and earned 2 saves while striking out 7. Colton Laws and Andrew Loepprich each picked up Victories in starts while giving up no runs.

Josh Crump led the defensive effort for the Cats with a couple of ESPN highlight catches in left field.
