Meniatis`s Blast Leads Yankees to Victory in Home Opener

It was a beautiful night at Richard`s Field for the Yankee`s home opener against the Angels. Chase (The Mighty) Meniatis, put the Yankees ahead in the bottom of the first inning with a towering three run blast. The Mad Bombers never looked back. Yankee starter Anthony (The Big Easy) Lazano along with Jordan (Panada) Susbilla and Scotty (Happy) Gilmore shut down a determined Angel`s line-up, holding them to six hits and striking out nine, over 6 innings. While the Yankee hitting attack was spearheaded by a Meniatis blast and a double, other Yankee hitters also got into the melee.  Parker (The Real Deal) True laid down a text book bunt, (Joltin) Jacob Rosin added 2 hits; a single and a rocket shot to the wall that went for a triple. Andrei (The Big Cat) Buado and Anthony (The Big Easy) Lazano added hard hit singles. Defensively, the Yanks flashed a little leather. Spencer (The Road Runner ) Floyd and Jake (The Snake) Peralta both provided solid defense in the outfield with solid back-up and Tristan ( Brave Heart) George blocked ball after ball behind the plate; securing the Yankee victory.

Defensive gem of the game: Jordan (Panda) Susbilla, back-up of third, saved a run

Hustle play of the game: Jordan (Panda) Susbilla, moving from first to third ; great hustle

Player of the Game. Chase Meniatis, Three run Homer and a double

Disabled List:

Charles (Hawk) Godtfredsen; dislocated elbow 3 to 4 weeks

Hayden (The Hammer) Mitchell; stomach virus, day to day

The Yankee Organization would like to throw a special thanks out to team captain Chase (The Mighty) Meniatis. Chase is a true team leader and shows it everyday with effort and hustle.
