Giants squeak out run in bottom of 6th to force a tie with the Mighty Bombers

The Yankees, facing elimination from the Tournament of Champions, had their backs to the wall against the league leading Giants. The Yankees struck first and often, scoring 6 runs in the first inning. The Yankees felt secure about going into the 5th inning and holding a 2 run lead, but a couple of errors and five walks in the final two frames allowed the G-men to force an 8-8 tie. Yankee pitchers Charles (Nails) Godtfredsen, Jordan (Panda) Susbilla and Anthony (The Big Easy) Lozano pitched good allowing only 8 runs to the league`s scoring leaders. Scotty (Happy) Gilmore got the final out in a pressure packed situation. "Happy" struck out the final batter with the bases loaded on a 3-2 count, keeping the winning run at third. The Yankees recieved some timely hitting making the most out of their five hits. Andrei (The Big Cat) Buado led the way going 2-3 with a single and double. Charles (Nails) Godtfredsen, Anthony (The Big Easy), and Jordan (Panda) Susbilla had the other Yankee hits.

Player of the Game: Spencer (The Roadrunner) Floyd; playing great defense over the course of the season

Defensive Gem of the Game: Anthony (The Big Easy) Lozano; two plays deep in the hole at shortstop

Hustle Play of the Game: Parker (The Real Deal) True; hustling down the line and forcing an error

The Yankee Organization would like to throw out a special thanks to: Spencer (The Roadrunner) Floyd. Spencer just started playing baseball a couple of season ago but shows it`s not how long you play that makes you great it`s the effort you put in at practice. Spencer is one of the hardest working Yankees.
