Lumber Company

Lumber Company finished a respectable 2-2 in the Joliet USSSA Major Tournament over the weekend of June 11th-13th.  The tournament was a lot of fun and a good experience, which included a game two match-up with Resmondo, the best softball team regardless of class in the USA.  There were 35 teams from from 13 states and 5 classes (Major, A, B, C and D) that played in this Major Tourney.   The Lumber Co. game scores were as follows.

• Game 1: Lumber Co. 22, VIP Softball 17
• Game 2: Resmondo (FL) 37, Lumber Co. 6
• Game 3: Lumber Co. 19, Polekatz 16
• Game 4: P&P 333/Larry Tire (MI) 21, Lumber Co. 4

Lumber Company's next tournament will be the prestigous USSSA Major NIT in Joliet, IL over the weekend of June 11th, 12th and 13th held at the Inwood Sports Complex.  Being a Major Tournament, the 32 team field will include the best teams in slowpitch softball period from all across the country.  A list of participating teams can be viewed by clicking the link below.

A couple things to note is this tournament will begin on Friday night with all teams playing.  Additionally, on Sunday June 13th there will be a "D" only single elimination tournament for those D teams participating in the Major bracket.  Should be a fun weekend of softball.

Lumber Company opens play in this weekend's Joliet USSSA "D" Qualifier at 9:00am against We Got Next on Saturday, May 8th on field #1 at the Inwood Sports Complex.  This weekend's USSSA "D" Qualifier is a one day tourney on Saturday only.  There are 8 teams playing in this tourney.  Click on the link below to view the entire bracket.

 Lumber Company will play next in the May 8th USSSA "D" Qualifier in Joliet.
