Lumber Co. evened their record to 1-1 in the Joliet City tournament's Open division when they defeated Marino Const./Stone City/D'Arcy by a final score of 14-13. This contest was back and forth all night with the game tied going in to the bottom of the 7th inning. The Lumber Co. had the hammer and put it to good use in the bottom of the frame. With one out Kenny Wallace started the rally with a single. Bob Munday and Matt Staab followed suit each singling to load the bases. With one out a Jeff Behun sacrifice fly drove in the winning run giving the Lumber Co. the 14-13 victory. E.Boe had a huge night at the plate to lead the Lumber Co. attack going 3-4 with 3 HRs and 7 RBIs. Also having good nights at the plate for the LoCo were K.Wallace 3-3, 1 BB; M.Staab, 3-4; B.Munday, 2-4; R.Nurczyk, 2-4; B.Walsh, 2-4 and J.Filas 2-4.
