Lumber Company scored 40 runs in their final game of the 2003 summer season, beating Hope Softball by a final score of 40 to 32 in the JPD Friday night "B" league contest. Leading the Lumber Company's offensive explosion were M.Wallace, 7-7, 1 BB, 1 HR, 1 3B, 3 2Bs, 11 RBIs; S.Munday, 4-4, 3 BBs; J.Miko, 6-7, 2 2Bs, 3 RBIs; J.Lesnik, 5-6, 2 BBs, 4 RBIs; B.Munday, 4-6, 2 BBs, 1 3B, 1 2B, 6 RBIs; J.Butscher, 4-6, 1 BB, 1 HR; M.Staab, 4-6, 1 3B, 1 2B, 3 RBIs and R.Nurczyk 1 HR, 3 RBIs. Lumber Company finished a very successful 2003 season which included the following highlights. -1st Place - Joliet City Tournament -5th Place - USSSA "D" Great Lakes National Tournament (78 Teams) -5th Place - USSSA "D" Illinois State Tournament (68 Teams) -Final USSSA "D" Ranking of 5th out of 133 Illinois teams Lumber Company would like to thank all of our great fans and sponsors for making 2003 a very fun and successful season.
