League Press Release February 18, 2002
Recently the EFL held its 34th Annual Meeting in
Glens Falls, NY, with 9 teams from the 2001 season returning plus the addition of a new
team, St. Lawrence Trailblazers, from the Massena and Ogdensburg, N.Y. area. Hudson
Valley, Wilkes-Barre and Plattsburgh have left the EFL. Connecticut has taken a leave of
absence. This gives the EFL 10 active member teams for the 2002 season. The EFL will
continue with their two division format and the 2002 season will start on July 13th and
end on September 28th. The EFL Championship Game will be held on October 13th. Northern Division

Commissioner Butch Keller, Commissioner of Officials Bill Higgins, Deputy
Commissioner-Secretary Dave Burch, and Deputy Commissioner Treasurer Mary Boice were
re-elected to their positions. Additionally, Al Dole and Bill Callahan were re-elected to
serve as EFL Deputy Commissioners.
