As we did last year, we will be attending the Marlins game honoring youth baseball. This year, the first of three such games will be on Sunday, April 13, against the arch-rival Atlanta Braves. (The other two are Sunday, June 1, 2003 against the Reds; and Sunday, June 8, 2003 against the World Champion Angels.) Game time is at 1, but you should be there for the pregame parade in uniform at noon. In addition, the first 7,500 kids there will get a Luis Castillo bat! Managers should be collecting ticket orders and money. Tickets are $7.50 each. They need to get their orders and money in to Board Member Hans Ottinot no later than Friday, March 24.
